throw them on ebay or mine alts.. its highly likely that some alts will become quite valuable in years to come following bitcoin mass adoption.

Throw them on ebay while mining alts (ppcoin that is)

yes and it's possible to merge mine some of the coins as well (mine several coins at the same time) depending on the software/pool

Yes you can mine other sha256 coins out of the box. Just see how the total hash rate of ppcoin grew lately. People are pointing all of their old asics there.

as per title. is it possible for bfl little singles? maybe in future?

Yes.  Definitely.  In the past as well.  SHA256 is SHA256.  I've mined SHA256 with Block Erupters, Blades, Jalapeno, BlueFurys.  But, why you'd want to anyway - mining BTC is the least risky way of doing things.

If it/they can mine bitcoins, then it/they can mine any other coin based on SHA-256. (i.e. PPCoin, Zetacoin, etc.)  You determine which coin based on your miner's config (software).  The hardware don't care.
