It sounds so weird to me...You're a Sr. Member member of this forum, you must be pretty familiar with the internet (duh) why would you want music back in television while you can listen to whatever you like, whenever you like to listen to in online?
That is if you want to be the DJ. With MTV you can vote but you are not actually the DJ.
And I don't know of anything like MTV streaming live on the internet.
For me a music channel on TV is different than a playlist on youtube, indeed.

I miss the MTV (and other music channels) back to when they passed music clips, not soap operas.
