Apparently, I have some unused credit at my domain registrar and it is enough to buy some domain name that is less than $10 for one year.
Is there any expiration date for that $10 credit in your account?
If not, than I would not create anything quickly that won't be used at all, remember that you would need to pay renewal next year again.
In rear cases good domain name can be sold later for more money but you really need to be lucky with that.

I don't think you'll get any useful advice here. You should be able to come up with your own idea if you want to be a successful businessman anyway. That's how it works usually. Depending on other people's ideas is not a good way to start things. You'll mostly get generic crap like "start a casino", "start an exchange", "sell stuff" etc.

I agree when it comes to creating online content it should be within your passion so you can sustain it in the long term, starting a website especially if you're going to monetize needs a lot of preparation and goal planning. every niche is competitive now compared to a decade ago, getting a domain is easy but sustaining and marketing its content is hard.
Whatever OP plans to do with his purchased domain I wish him success

If I amn't wrong, you are a developer. Years ago I was trying to create a platform for signature campaign managers, a website where managers would list and control their signature campaigns (name, banner, number of participants, filled slots, etc). I don't have the screenshot of the website and I don't know if you might remember it (it's not archived too) but... I used this template for adcampaign - https://themeforest.net/item/finding-directory-listings-html-template/23386893
If you decide to continue what I started, I'll give you the template for free.
Here is my Ann thread - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalk-signature-campaigns-5253572

I don't know if it brings you commercial success, if any but I would really love to see a platform for signature campaigns. I started it for fun with my enthusiasm to bring something good to this forum but then gave up for some reason, now I don't have enough time to build it.

You can probably do a drop shipping website or a Shopify website but you're selling crypto inspired products and/or wallets, you could probably even sell some of those crypto collectibles down there, to make you some extra money, it would probably cost you more for the labor but I'm sure that you'd probably get more out of it in the long-run, it's only for a year after all, you can probably use it as a way to test things out and if it doesn't work, just end it after the domain expires.

I agree. The ideas he gets here may not be enough to start a successful business. But still, I think brainstorming with other folks could give him new perspectives he hadn't thought of solo.  Someone might not hand him a million dollar concept outright, but could ask thoughtful questions or offer input steering him the right way.

A few possibilities in hand, he could mock up barebones landing pages using that free domain.  Itd give him a taste if potential customers dig those concepts.  Not failproof market research but better than theorizing in a vacuum.

What are your skills? Do you know coding? Are you good at writing articles? (maybe blogging is for you then) What are your hobbies? If you don't give us any info about yourself we can't say much and it would be smart not to share your private data.

As you see, knowing what you like and what you don't is a great place to start because we always want to have a business which we like.

A vegetarian guy won't become a good butcher for example.

There are simply so much business categories you can try out when talking about online crypto business lol — from a blog, data website, a service, you name it. Depending on what you actually know to create.

Unfortunately, the "what's a good business idea?" part is the difficult part — like half the entire problem, the other half being idea execution.

Yes of course I bought one domain that I can consider premium for less than $10 if it's coming from Namecheap you are good because there are a lot of extensions that you can research for your keywords a .me fetches for $7 a .power $2 use a filter for several extensions available for your chosen keywords, if you can take the time and you are patient you can use a lot of keywords variations that is related to your favorite niche like Cryptocurrency.

I am not really sure what to do with it at all though, so I was thinking about asking you guys what kind of crypto business do you see everyone else doing on the internet.

I already have hosting to cover a new website. But I'm just trying to figure out a good website name and a plan.

If you are serious about developing your site and you have funds you can go to Codecanyon and buy a script for a Cryptocurrency project, or if you want it free then just start blogging on WordPress.

If you have no idea what, then maybe it's better not to start something new because of $10 in your account. You can always add a few $ and renew the current domain that you use/update.
Until this year, I had a bunch of domains with some interesting ideas, but I decided not to extend them anymore, because I obviously don't have enough time (probably not the desire) to go into further implementation.

I agree.

I bought a domain for the same reason a few years ago. It just  expired and I lost my money... better to save for a renewal

On the other hand, you can host the front end for free in pages.cloudflare.com... without any costs.  But very limited.

If you are still determined to create something new, a site like the one created by bitmover (https://bitcoindata.science) with several useful tools is always welcome.

I think it might be good if you create a website where will be stored deposit and withdrawal fees of every top cryptocurrency on every top exchange. I don't know if that can become profitable but I think that there is not a big competition and it would be nice to have such a website.

I also think that it will be nice if you create a website, a marketplace where people will be able to buy/sell different accounts, for example Netflix, Amazon Prime, Spotify, Crunchyroll, gift cards and so on.
Ideas can be endless but it will be nice if you tell us what you are capable to do.

It also might be a good idea to create a website with a paid service to help e-commerce websites integrate a crypto payments.

But I'm just trying to figure out a good website name and a plan.

As Coin_trader already mentioned, e-commerce is still developing and I can assume that it will become more and more popular in the future. You could look for a niche product or service related to cryptocurrency or blockchain technology that isn't already well-served online.

Another service with future potential is a customer-centric crypto payment processor. Unlike traditional processors for merchants, this would allow customers to shop at any online store and pay with cryptocurrencies, acting as an intermediary between buyers and merchants. I know this idea requires a lot more than just web hosting and a domain, but it might be worth thinking about.

As a businessman myself. E-commerce is the most booming industry that lacking on crypto. A website which a user can list his product and accepts Bitcoin as payment will very cool. Temu, Shein and other big e-commerce is now very popular but are just outsourcing all their products from different suppliers.

I remember there’s some crypto projects that exist before but didn’t continue longer. But now that e-commerce is already dominating the global business industry, I think having a small place like this will be beneficial for SMES supplier like me. Marketplace in the forum sucks except the collectibles.  Cheesy

But I think online business requires more spending. Although, I have seen your news and other info website before which I believe this will not be new to you.

You will still need money for VPS/cloud hosting, SSL/TLS certificate, server and web designing and others.

Why not go for instant exchange if you have the money to do it.
