Exchanges make money off you via exchange fees. If they hold your withdrawal pending for days end, it's most probably because of technical issues. Can they run low on funds where they cant honor it? It's probably possible, but there's no way to know for sure unless you have insider information.

Mind telling us what exchange you're using?

LOT of people are stuck and very little communication and no support tickets are being answered.

I have been stuck with XRP for 6 days, and down 50% and whipped away all last 2 months profit. Not a small amount either.

Oh. That's definitely really alarming. Pretty much the same with what happened with the past Poloniex exchange users, though it's my first time to actually hear that specific exchange. One good way to go with this is to try to publicize this to social media (e.g. Reddit's /r/cryptocurrency) and grab people's attention.

Someone posted this on the facebook page you linked though, though I'm not sure if it's legit:

Yea I emailed that guy and ask. He stated he grabbed it off another post reply. Not sure if true, as I never saw it. What happened at Poloniex? The weird part is they are taking on new accounts, not posting notices on the site where there may be issues. That made me think about them wanting money come in from new accounts before they release others, since mine is actually a rather substantial amount.

Can crypto exchanges make money off of your coins somehow if they hold pending withdrawals for days? Can they run low on funds where they cant honor it, until more money comes in? I havent a feeling I am being scammed! Its had XRP locked up for 6 days while it tanks and I had to watch it and couldnt do anything about it.
