Electrum dev made it ridiculously easy to transfer your MultiBit HD wallet to Electrum by making it so you can enter "custom" Derivation Path's for BIP39 seeds... like the custom path that MultiBit HD uses...

And the MultiBit people even created a video showing how to do it after they dropped support for MultiBit HD... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-KcY6KUVnY

So, I'd recommend importing your MultiBit HD wallet words into Electrum on your desktop Wink  You'll be safe to delete MultiBit HD as long as you have the "wallet words" written down safely Smiley

I had this "password problem" but I resolved it (I spend half day) . Now i have bitcoins on android application called Simple Bitcoin Wallet and of course on Multibit. Can I delete now this garbage called Multibit HD from my PC? I don't loose bitcoins? Maybe this is stupid question  Wink

If you transfer your BTC to new wallet and you made backup of that new wallet(seed&private keys)then it is completely safe to remove your old wallet form PC.I see that Simple Bitcoin Wallet is HD wallet so you need to save your seed somewhere safe.Nevertheless I would recommend you in case you have larger amount of BTC that use some desktop wallet like Electrum or maybe hardware wallet.

Multibit is dead long time ago,I remember my Classic version and all problems have with that wallet.Switch to Electrum is solve that and make my life much easier.
