Why not try mining if you really want to earn Bitcoin?. Running a full node won't help you earn Bitcoin because the creator didn't make BTC like that but it would be a contribution to Bitcoin since running a full node means you now one of the Bitcoin server owner which BTC data are stored. As you can read in most of the post here that it is a contribution if you run a full node. In mining, the more hashing power youe device have the more chance you mine a block and get rewarded.

Nothing lasts forever
I was going through some materials when I saw Bitcoin node. Now my question to the community is; can I make money if I decide to run a Bitcoin node?

If only earning money was that easy then everyone would be running a full node. I owned a full node running on my raspberry pi as well.
Although you cannot really earn money running a full node, there are other advantages which contributes towards your privacy and bitcoin network's security.
You don't have to depend on third party for exploring your BTC transactions and also you can help other nodes in validating the transactions.
Running a bitcoin full node is like a charity. It must be out of your own will and towards betterment of the world.

The answer is an emphatic NO. You won't earn a dime running a node. Nodes are vital components of the bitcoin network and they help in the decentralization of the bitcoin network and also increasing the security of the transactions the user performs. You can only earn bitcoin by mining.

You can't earn anything with your Bitcoin node, but you are going to have much better privacy for all your transactions.
There is a chance you can make profit if you are running Lightning Network node that have low enough fees, but don't expect to get rich doing this.
You can find many instructions online, but you need to have some basic experience with computers and Linux OS.

Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin
I was going through some materials when I saw Bitcoin node. Now my question to the community is; can I make money if I decide to run a Bitcoin node?
The Node is an integral part of the Bitcoin network responsible for verifying transactions before they are selected by miners. Once confirmed by miners, the Node adds the transactions to the ledger, which is distributed globally to other nodes connected to the Bitcoin network. The main function of Nodes is to safeguard the Bitcoin network against fraudulent transactions. However, by running a node for the Lightning Network, you can earn some sats when users route transactions through your node. You should note that the primary purpose of the Node to Bitcoin is to protect and secure the Bitcoin network.

As reported before you can earn a small amount by running a lightning node.

Please find here a detailed guide made by cointelegraph.

I have not tried before this procedure and I don't know if it's worth so much effort/expense....however it's a nice hobby experiment to be conducted.

It is difficult not impossible. There are solo miners who have enough capital to be competitive with big mining companies, they have enough equipment to generate huge hashrate.

There have been some instances where solo miners have been able to mine bitcoin block and earned rewards also but the chances are low because you need lot of hash power to find the target and at this time big Mining pools have setup huge ASIC machines and combined hash power of all miners in that pool.

But talking about solo miners then yes we have seen some of them in recent times only   and in this case solo miner was able to mine 780,112th block getting reward of 6.25BTC so it's not impossible but rare chances are there.

No,there is no reward for running a bitcoin node. The benefits of running a node by yourself,is your privacy and you are also adding security to bitcoin decentralization, which is the major purpose of creating bitcoin.

Another advantage is that you will have the list of transactions done on the blockchain  whenever you need any information on this. Miners are the ones who gain profit from mining bitcoin.
Gracias.

The short answer is that no, you won't make any money simply by running a node but you can earn a tiny amount of sats by running a lightning node and routing payments but that can take a substantial amount of time and a solid understanding of the incentives and the game theory of the lightning network .

The real benefits of running a node are privacy, decentralization, learning more about bitcoin, and individual sovereignty.

I personally love not having to connect to a third-party server to check my wallet balance. It's a good feeling.

If you want to run a node Bitcoin is not the right place, you need well-established altcoins like Gala Nodes, very costly now though, not for average earners, the first time Gala nodes was released for the public it was around 6000$ and today it costs 90,000$+ or more, so if you are someone that earn a small amount of money per month or week you will need to find a new project that just launched their nodes, joining the game earlier is the best way to go.

Remember, there is a risk with new projects, they don't always become successful, and your money invested on nodes can go to waste since the future is not certain I will rather invest in the project than its nodes.

You do not make money running a bitcoin node but you protect the privacy of you Bitcoins and improves the overall security, meaning your coins are a bit safer when you run one.

Nowadays, it is impossible to do solo mining because total hash rate is very high, difficult is very high and you must config your ASICs, connect them to mining pools and get mining shares for each block found by that mining pool.

OP, the simple answer is No, you don't get any money reward for running a Bitcoin node, but rather you are greatly contributing to the security of the Bitcoin transaction of another user, or perhaps your own security, if you are the one carrying out the transaction and running your own node.
It is true that no incentive given to node runners, nodes verify or validate transactions, but if you are running your own node, you will not depend on central server, which means privacy, not security per se.

Miners are the ones that are responsible for bitcoin security. Solo miners and mining pool also have their own nodes.

As a node runners, you are contributing to bitcoin decentralization and also having privacy if you use it with Tor.

You can not earn anything by running either a Bitcoin full node or a Bitcoin prune node.

To earn bitcoin, you must run your mining equipment ASIC to get mining reward. Nowadays, it is impossible to do solo mining because total hash rate is very high, difficult is very high and you must config your ASICs, connect them to mining pools and get mining shares for each block found by that mining pool.

The advantage of running a full node is for yourself: privacy for your transactions and you can use coin control features better as if a Bitcoin wallet allows you to set up a node, it does allow you to use Coin Control feature.

.., but rather you are greatly contributing to the security of the Bitcoin transaction of another user, or perhaps your own security, ..
Don't forget your privacy.

If you're running an SPV-client even checking for address-balances you ask a third party for that information.
Running your own node you got a full copy of the blockchain, no need to ask anyone for anything, it's all there right at your fingertips.

No, you won't it is not the same as shitcoin where you can have a full node and earn some coins by validating and confirming transactions.

In Bitcoin, only miners can be rewarded by hashing blocks, and the full node is not included but they are contributing to the network by fully validating transactions and blocks.
