Hello everyone. I need some clarifications, please.
I just noticed some ads tagging just below my foru signature. The ads appearing are not in any way related to my signature campaign project or topic and I did not place the ads. What could be the cause and what should I do? Thanks to you all.

Do you have screenshots of some examples? You're probably just mistaken and are confusing them with the one under the first post of every thread which is a forum ad slot.

Ok. Thanks for explaining.

You did. That's exactly what you asked after you thanked them:

When you mentioned admin's approval, you mean the sub board admins or theymos himself??

There are no sub board admins. Just sub board mods and they do not have the authority to grant permission for such a thing hence why you need to contact theymos.

Thanks to both of you for clarifying. When you mentioned admin's approval, you mean the sub board admins or theymos himself??

Those are not admins. They're sub board mods. You need permission from theymos to advertise in a thread and it needs to be one deemed substantial and beneficial to the community.

You should read the rules because you would see that ref links aren't allowed, nor advertisements outside the signature area and also not to double post.

I did not say they are the mods or admins or anything. I just thanked them for the clarification.

You can only have ads in OPs that are very content heavy, and receive admin approval in advance. Ads are not allowed in posts (replies). Referral links are allowed in posts as long as they are on topic, however in almost all instances they will not be.

Referral links are only allowed in the signature, with a couple forum exceptions.

I think most would find that an abuse of the signature system.

I was wondering, in addition to my signature space, could I also put referral ad links within my message body itself?
