altho i have MS VM thingie going, if I made a ubuntu VM would that work?



I doubt it, you could image the server as it is, install ubuntu, then install windows in the vm, because the miners need direct access to the GPU's and HAL.

I have a server at my office just sitting there, it always has to be on.
I just found out about bitcoins\mining.

The server has 2x 1000watt redundant power supplies and amaaazing cooling. Its an HP DL380 G5, here are some specs:

DO you guys think I can throw 2 or 3 PCIE cards in there>? Or does it have to be video card slots? Or can they just boot up with it even with no monitors plugged into them to run mining routines?

You could probably use some PCI extender cables to hook GPU's up to it (no idea what the cables are called haha)

If it's a windows server your sol, if it's not you'll be fine.
