I don't use that particular software wallet but I believe that what you trying to do to be done by just sleep sweeping your previous private key into that wallet that's what you want to do that's basically the equivalent of bringing in that account combining it with the software that you already have. Basically can consider looking for import or sweep private keys somewhere in the options which should be there I don't see why this would be any different than the other software wallet.

Of course there is. You can go to the first "Accounts" tab and click on the key symbol on the top right corner.
From there you can create a new HD wallet or go to "Advanced" at the bottom of the page where you can import an old wallet or and hardware wallet.

Well even though it is possible to create another HD wallet or any other type once you restore his back up but keep in mind that it all would be under the same master seed.

On the other hand, you can add unrelated account but they will not be included in your master seed back up.

When installing Mycelium and running it for the first time, you get to choose between restoring a previous backup or starting a new wallet.

Once you made this choice, it doesn't seem to be possible to choose again. As far as I can tell the only way would be to uninstall and reinstall Mycelium, so you effectively run it for the first time again.

Or am I wrong? Is there a feature in Mycelium to say "start new wallet" (I mean a complete HD wallet) or "restore previously backed up wallet" after you already have one running?

Of course there should be a BIG warning in there, saying "you are about to switch to a different wallet, unless you properly backed up this one YOU WILL LOSE ALL COINS AND HISTORY". But nonetheless I would love for this to be possible.

Thanks for considering!
