Hi everyone out there, i had created an account on blockchain info 7 years ago, but the last time i logged in was 3 years ago, and now when i want to log it, it always says wrong password, but the email and password are all correct, because i had typed them in my notebook, i also have the welcoming link when i first sign up, i also have the wallet identifier, so, do you have any idea how to solve this Huh
You must remember the password and try other passwords that you may have used. When writing the password, you must make sure that you write uppercase or lowercase on the keyboard, and you must make sure when you type the password that it is written in English letters or in other languages. If you have the 12-word recovery phrases, you will be able to access your wallet. If you have lost the password and seed phrases, unfortunately, you will not be able to recover your wallet because Blockchain does not have access to the wallets of its customers. You can try to ask the support service of the blockchain wallet so that they can verify the information you have and hope that they will help you if there is a solution.

OP you need to crosscheck the password and be sure it's meant for the blockchain.info account, consider changing the Case of the first letter to Upper or lower case if already on one side. It's been long since you last visited the site and its certain like myself that you tweaked the password written on the notebook to maintain security, even if someone accessed the book and your device they may not access the account. Since its saying wrong password is probably that an incorrect password is imputed. Flashback and think, if that doesn't work then try the seed recovery procedure.

I also suspect they converted your legacy wallet (old) to HD wallet (new) when you logged in 3 years ago. The question is do you remember transferring your bitcoins to your HD wallet? I've read posts from people whose legacy wallets were also converted to an HD wallet and their legacy addresses always ends up sitting in the imported addresses which is outside of the 12-word seed from your HD wallet.

It's worth mentioning that you could also login using your email address now, I did this with my 2016 account! although I think it's still worth giving logging-in using the wallet ID a try.

I think if you created a bitcoin wallet before on blockchain.info you must have wallet.aes.json it is an encrypted file with your private keys or your wallet inside. Do you still have this file?

Import it here https://login.blockchain.com/wallet/import-wallet
Then use your password.

If no then I think blockchain said  you can contact them if you know your email and password for wallet recovery so try to contact them.

I think in the past the support have been able to give people encrypted wallet files that they can then use their password on which could be a way you could go (they'll probably have guides on decoding it too).

Are you sure you're meant to be logging in with an email and password? I thought they used some sort of ID system over there (but I haven't used them in about 6 years so they might've updated their system since then).

This topic belongs to Web Wallets.

Lurk on the most threads there and you'll see some that have the same scenario as you. Those that have left their account there for so long that has some bitcoin balance on it and had faced the same issue of logging in.

If not, try to contact the support first or look if the solution is on their FAQ.

The only way forward in my opinion is to carefully dig inside your emails, included spam and eliminated ones ( depending on your email provider you may have an eliminated folder/recycle bin) and check for some message by blockchain.com asking you to perform some action to keep your account alive.

Since you logged in three years ago, they must've asked you to convert to the HD wallet and gave you a seed phrase that can help you recover your wallet, didn't they?

I have same account but I don't remember that I login via email instead of using my unique wallet ID that sent to my email during my registration.

@OP, try to use your wallet ID to login your account instead of your email address because this the current credentials that I’m using to access my blockchain.info wallet recently when I’m checking for my old wallet balance. You can see this wallet ID on the email that you use to register.

If you still have access to your email and have your id, you can reset your possword following these steps here [1], if you lost your email i don't think there's another way to recover your account unless if you have saved your seed phrase so you can import from any other wallet. If you don't have any funds left inside your wallet you better create another one and forget the old one
