A project that finds out someone is running slanderous campaigns about them, should first of all ignore them. Majority of these are trolls, so if they dont get any attention from their victim they will stop.

Still if they dont seem to stop, the project can give a public announcement to clear their name and then never again take any statements about it. This shows that the owners do not care about any hate campaigns but are more interested in developing their own stuff. Gradually though, as I have seen, these trolls stop and they move on to harass others. If you give them attention, they will do more of it. Ignoring them is the first step.

What should the projects do though that are being slandered?

A professional team does not make comments about other projects and even on being questioned the same, diplomatically evade those statements. So you can understand why project that call others bad are never going to the top. Point is that many projects out there are moderated by kids with zero knowledge and manners. That is a fault from the owners side though to hire such a person, even then they dont hire without past experience with projects, kind of like a cutoff criteria for applicants.

Besides if you see such a project, avoid it at all costs. Those who are desperate the make money will be scammers in the long run or having some motive that is malevolent.

In a broader perspective, this is more appropriate. Every person in a team has an individual role. Everyone is not perfect but that is what makes them unique. A bad apple will ruin the name of the project so careful screening of people getting involved is important.

I don't think everything is always under control. The failure of a project does not depend only on the manager, but is the responsibility of the project team. Sometimes the manager himself is also cheated from the developer so that the manager cannot do much for the continue of the project. If there is a problem with the token, the problem lies with the developer team. I think a manager will definitely choose to kick out someone who is pushing her so hard, that it can makes grub unfavorable and worsens its relationship with the development team.

Yes, I have seen good projects fail because their community and moderators are toxic and attack other projects. No one wants to invest in a project that is mean and hateful.

That's why there are bunch of scam projects appeared. They never care about the quality but they only care about the quantity of how much project that they can join on it at the same time.
So many times the team was doing token swap to fool the hunters but those bots never wake up from their slepp.
This is the main concern. They only care about how much token that will be distributed at the end of campaign. These kind of hunters must feel ashame.

It's one of the factor that must be considered by developers. If they don't have a friendly social media managers, they cannot communicate well with their community.
By which, they should understand that it's the community that's bringing success to the project. Even if they have MVP or what you call it but it's not recognized by the community, that would be such a waste.

The thing with bounty hunters is that they are hungry for money and that money-hunger comes from being a bounty hunter itself and not getting paid enough for the effort they put in.

They prefer to join several projects at once and then promote all of them, making the twitter account look like a timed spammer. However SMMs or social media managers are not similar, these are a group of professionals who run social media campaigns and they are important for the marketing of the project. Bounty hunters are nowhere close to that work they do.

I cant say that having good manners to speak to admins is everything. Point is that most projects that have come up are failures from the start.
So if that is the case what role does the SMM does even play? To try to gamble their efforts in trying to make the project look good so people buy it and make sure the owners get some money?

Unlike the mainstream startups where you have a legal status and equities which are recognized by SEC, things are not the same here. Bounty hunters are at the mercy of the team and the advisors who will dump their tokens to drain the market of the token's price before unlocking the bounty hunter's tokens.

It is a messed up situation if you ask for my honest opinion. So I tend to dissuade people from joining any bounty and save them from the endless cycle of frustration and despair. Signature campaigns are much better in this context.

I think yes. if you employ rude and selfish managers to handle your social contents and marketing, you are bound to fail. Your project failure will happen fast. the community behind any project derived joy supporting the project when they are sure they are free from abuse, hash words and unattentively administrators. it is good to have manners and not be rude. no matter your knowledge and vast idea, give every member in your group the chance they deserved.

A friend was kick out of a group because he did not meet up with the token swap. the told him blatantly that he can't do any about it. a token he invested his money in is now a waste. the admin went ahead to kick him out of the group.

I think most bounty projects cares little about the product they are working on but funds.  No wonder they can wake up any day and swap tokens.
