Thanks Stephen.
I do remember that happening.  I thought I made the BTC deposit after the attack, but it was well before.  Oh well.  Looks like my last and only coins will be tied up in lingo for ~10 years at a rate of .85%/month.

I wonder why it's on hold.

You've missed a few headlines:

Virtual Heist Paralyzes BitFloor, the U.S.’s #1 USD Bitcoin Exchange

I wonder if I can get them back....

That was addressed here:

Happy to say that my first chunk of bitcoin on hold from the theft has finally come out of hold. About 1.7% but it's a good start.

Gosh dang it.  I found them.  They got sent to bitfloor.  When I log in I see this.

BTC
avail    0.08538222
hold    4.92926600

I wonder why it's on hold.  I wonder if I can get them back....

I stopped mining back in August.  This was my last payout.

Your reward for mining with the bitcoin.cz mining pool service has exceeded threshold of 5.0 BTC.

Amount 5.01038742 BTC has been transfered to your address 174doVikTMeArJreeQtLB34dFRWY9T182c at 2012-08-24 06:07:23.376987 UTC.

Payment processing through Bitcoin network may take between 30 minutes to 3 hours. You can watch current payment status on http://www.blockexplorer.com/address/174doVikTMeArJreeQtLB34dFRWY9T182c. If you see payment on Block Explorer and not in your Bitcoin client, please verify that your client is up to the latest block or ask on Bitcoin forum for any other help.

The problem is this;
I stopped mining for a short time before that last payout, but decided to give it one last go.  I'm thinking I changed my payment address to someone else's personal wallet in order to pay for goods, but that would not be typical behavior of mine, it's just the only thing I can think of.  The problem is after looking in all my message and post history, I can't find any record of such a deal.  Now I'm just plain confused where I sent these coins.  A month prior I had sent 5.95BTC to that same address according to my payout history.  Is there anyone here technical enough to help me figure out where i sent them?  I tried looking at blockexplorer but I just don't know what I'm looking at.  If you could help me understand it (blockexplorer) that would also be much appreciated.

The reason it took me so long to catch onto this is because I usually sent from slush pool to mtgox account.  That mtgox account had a yubikey that I lost and for a while mtgox had no remedy to my situation.  I recently regained access to that account only to find out the 5BTC I was expecting to see never went there in the first place.
