Don´t mine anything with NVIDIA cards !!! They´re very power inefficient !!!

The Best cards to mine Litecoins are 7950, then 7970 and 7990.

Good Luck.

the 7950 are definitely better than the 7970 and cost about 25% less

I'm finally mining litecoins at the unbelievable speed of 10kh/s :/ so I will do some research on hardware use and repost if I find a way to mine faster.

There might be a few settings you can tweak to raise that number, but it's not a very powerful GPU so I wouldn't expect much from it.

I don't want to be negative, but you aren't going to make more than a couple dollars a month mining on a laptop. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try it though.  A while ago, I mined on my desktop computer for a few weeks and I made a couple dollars a night. I have mined BTC, LTC, and a few of the scam coins. The money wasn't worth my time and effort, but I enjoyed the experience.

Oh look, worker's name and password, print screened, for the world ^_^.
Oh god, some bad guys could use it to mine litecoin for me ^^.

Might try out guiminer.  It has a scrypt version.  Easy to use.
Thanks, it works Smiley .

50 Mh/s is very high. Just guessing, but it is likely that you haven't told cgminer to mine litecoins, so it is mining bitcoins. I don't remember the proper parameters, but I know you need --scrypt for one.
Thanks, it works with that, I used "cgminer --scrypt -o mine.pool-x.eu:9000 -u lucien.1 -p x"

BTW, isn't 50Mh/s a little hight for my GeForce GTX 460 ?

With any GeForce it will be a little light on hashing.  This site is great to get a idea of expected hashing numbers http://litecoin.info/Mining_Hardware_Comparison

Hello all, I have problems with litecoin mining: my hashrate is not displayed in my pool account althrough cgminer indicates arround 50Mh/s.
I have configured it in several ways but it doesn't help, I really don't know why. If something knew what's going on and told me that would be great.
