We ended up getting a third friend to exchange the bitcoin and give my other friend PayPal money. The end game was to get the fiat into his PayPal account so I think the card is linked to it.
So basically you guys are doing peer to peer transaction and make sure that third friend involved here is trust worthy because in Paypal user can chargeback the sent money for the next 180 days.

First of all thank you for this.
The plan was to convert the BTC to Swedish Krona and withdraw it to his credit card, so we tried to sell BTC for SEK, but unfortunately we discovered that Coinbase only lets you sell for dollars and euros, and we're not sure if Coinbase can withdraw either of those to the card.

Edit: I'm a bit confused now, is your friend trying to withdraw bitcoins or fiat? I don't think you can withdraw bitcoins "to a credit card/bank"

Click on Bitcoin, this goes to the wallet:
Then fill out the Send form on the right side with the recipient's address and the amount. If your friend has multiple Bitcoin wallets (doubtful) - those would be listed at the top next to the generic "Wallet". Sorry I had to scrub a bunch of stuff due to paranoid reasons. The big empty area in the middle is the list of transactions.

Long story short I am making a trade with a friend but he's having trouble withdrawing bitcoin from coinbase because he can't find the button for it, so since I don't have coinbase so I don't know the way around myself, so I'd really appreciate it if someone here posts step-by-step instructions with screenshots on how to get to the withdrawal page on the coinbase website and then withdraw to a credit card/bank etc.
I should also mention that this is being done long distance so I can't point at the screen and show him
