Cryptocurrency Whales, are important because they are responsible for the positive changes in the market by having a larger quantity of cryptocurrency in their wallet, when they make a huge  transaction, the price tends to be obvious for the outside to see. There must be a reason for them to leave the market, they just can't go away without justifying their actions.

My question is this, what will happen to the crypto industry if the whales decides to sell off their assets and never buys back again? how will the Market survive since it will be Left with only lower investors?
Nothing will really happen to the industry, it all depends on the coin and the exchange the whales are playing their game on, a coin that has low trading volume as well as less buyers suffer the consequences from the whales because there is a shortage of suppliers into the market. If a particular coin is listed on Binance, Okex, Coinbase and whales decide to sell off their assets, nothing will really affect the price because there are already heavy suppliers/buyers placing many buy order which inturn will execute more than the amount the whales sold off within minutes.

So basically, whales cannot dump on Pepe meme coin for example because the volatility is very high and there is a lot of demand/buyers behind it pushing the price always higher.

The question I go ask OP abi make I say us for here be say;

The coin them way eagles Dey sometimes dump for market just to push price down, who Dey buy am?
If the answer na you and me, that na to tell you say, the market no Dey dependent on the whales. Na out collective efforts Dey move the market. When whales dump and we play ball with them, market direction change.
If them dump and we no play ball with them, you go find a relatively stable market.

Whales na big players for sure but, without them, the market go still Dey healthy.

My question is this, what will happen to the crypto industry if the whales decides to sell off their assets and never buys back again? how will the Market survive since it will be Left with only lower investors?
Understanding the markets volatility, big whales are only sudden market influencers while those on little amount of Bitcoins and those holding on its fractions has gradual effects of influencing the market too which are either for increase or decrease of values depending on when Investors sells off or buys their coins.

Hence, the initiative of Bitcoin keeping its qualities and  values is not tied on big whales. Left with the fact that enthusiasts and adoptors of little values are coming up, so gradually the values of Bitcoin will also be effective to the users.

Understanding the concept reputations of Bitcoin, the decline of the big whales can not compromise the potentials of Bitcoin as a hedge to store values. The big whales are only contributive to perform sudden changes as fluctuations in the Bitcoin market which equivalent the possessions of the little value of holders can not be underrated if big whales was so overrated.

The good news is that... Bitcoin will maintain to its initiative without the big whales hence it has gained massive adoptions.

Well, I don't think the crypto market would survive without whales, but being at the brink of survival or not may be a good thing. You see, being the bigger investors, they sure contribute a lot. From providing confidence and trust in crypto for other small investors to impacting market prices.

In a scenario where all the whales of crypto disappear or start selling their assets without buying them back, the price of Bitcoin would first of all fall drastically, leading to panic sales/ FUD. This would lead to massive loss of investments by the smaller investors and discourage new or influenced investors, all moving in the direction of extinction of our dearly beloved Bitcoin.

Unless, the smaller investors or well-to-do investors instead of panicking and selling their Bitcoin start buying more during the panic sale, making them whales or at least the bigger investors at the moment. And taking the price of Bitcoin higher and higher.

So, whales are really important in the crypto market and are the backbone of it. Their disappearance may either lead to the fall of Bitcoin or the rise of upcoming investors.

As we all know, whales are the bigger investors in the crypto market and their activities in the market affects the fluctuations of prices because when they sell some of their assets, it causes pandemonium such that it's effect can widely be noticed and when they also buys back it also helps the price to skyrocket because these are investors that their investments in cryptocurrency are worth billions of dollars. My question is this, what will happen to the crypto industry if the whales decides to sell off their assets and never buys back again? how will the Market survive since it will be Left with only lower investors?
As soon as the whales leaves the world of crypto let's take for example Bitcoin, there would be rapid price crash since lots of sell orders and limited buy orders would increase supply over demands leading to higher negative volatility, it can also trigger panic in the masses, who might think Bitcoin is crashing and follow suit to sell off their own investments too.

Exit of the whales would greatly reduce liquidity of Bitcoin since the whales are instrumental in providing high liquidity by executing buy and sell orders, their exit would greatly destabilize the market and increase volatility to terrible conditions.

Although Bitcoin may tend to survive the crash, but this would shake the crypto world as other smaller projects might suffer lower investor participation and would see most of them fade away leaving only the most resilient and well established ones one picking up their pieces with Bitcoin. The markets would survive, but it would be a very long and painful process and lots of people would witness their portfolios decline significantly.

Whales exit might trigger more government participation as they might step in tho normalize the markets if it has very high impact on different economics of different nations and we're all know that at that point, Bitcoin decentralization might be threatened.

It might also give room for more decentralization and creativity in Bitcoin since the exit of the whales would prompt investors of different capacities to jump to the rescue and buy Bitcoin while getting more creative and innovative with it's involvements to gain more adaption in the supposed new era because after the crash comes a new era free from the manipulations of the whales.

The figure to qualify as a whale will only be readjusted, there will always be people who have more investment in bitcoin than others. Those people will just become the major players in the market.

One thing you must know is that people are always there to buy at dip or at the cheapest price, if whales dump and never buy back don't you know there are people who would celebrate the dump and set there bags ready to accumulate as many as possible they could.

The thing is what you would about whales is that, what percentage are they holding they could affect the entire crypto market and again you would check the total marketcap if $1b or $2b will affect the overall cryptocurrency market.

As a matter of fact the overall general crypto market is worth Trillion so how much Billions would leave the market to affect the entire crypto, even as that there are people who would buy immediately they noticed a sharp dump in the market because they've been longing for that opportunity for long.

This question made me flashed back to FTX collapse, then when it happened the market shook but within some months thereabouts it bounces back and those who were able accumulates as much as they could do accumulated

Firstly you have to understand that all the whale selling off at almost same time is something not really feasible except if its in a case of a particular coin having issue that there are too many uncertainties around then you will see that the whales may exit that particular coin for the safety of their funds but in the market generally the whales will always be found there because they are make money of the market daily so its not something they would want to even let go probably for no good reason. An answer to your question is such i would want to give with some sentiments because we cannot undermine t he effects the whales bring upon the market, they have got a whole lot to do with the volatility and profitability of the market so their absence which is almost nor possible will be so disastrous to the market, their absence will cause the market to appear un interesting and not attractive so its very important tho the market may not collapse completely but it will not make any sense again at the moment.

First of all, human nature of wanting more won't even allow such to happen and then again their are lots of whales in the market and you can't tell all will just sell out their assets and never want to buy back when the Dip start kicking because I believe you have already stated that there activity influences the price market to some extent and believe when I say this even if they refused to buy back and the markets becomes bearish a whole lot of Bitcoin enthusiast will still hold and buy even more as the dip is the time to accumulate and in no time the market will bounce back.

It's a yes and no answer. Yes in the sense that the market will survive even when the whales stop investing, although it won't be as much as when they are in but there will still be activity. Little drops of water make a mighty ocean and while these whales will want to try to control the market with their decisions, it's best to know that there are other factors to be considered and it's that lower to middle investors can still stir the boat.
And no because if big whales decide they want to sell off all their coins, these mid to lower investors may panic and want to sell off too, thereby causing a significant drop in price. For me, it all depends on the confidence level of the investor.

When you say crypto market it encompasses both bitcoin and altcoins-shitcoins but I'll beam my light on bitcoin specifically here. First of you should understand that the whales benefits (profit) alot more from the bitcoin market far more than we small bag hodlers and they wouldn't want to leave the market for us with the small bags to start gaining grounds. So never think that the whales will ever sale never to buy.

However, whether the whales sell their bitcoin asset and never buy back again someday, bitcoin won't dump because the bitcoin ecosystem is bigger than a few whales, in the worst scenario price will be dip-ish causing some panic and it's surely that some weak minds will sell out of FUD but the price will gradually heal and recover with time.

ThankGod you said the market will be left with lower investors which is to say that no matter the choices of any investor whether to HODL or sell their assets, there will still be investors that will HODL their assets and will not be moved to sell. I know that the whales are strong force that determines the activities of the prices of cryptocurrency in the market but even if other cryptocurrency will not survive, Bitcoin will survive because it's awareness now is bigger than the imagination of the whales such that there are even investors that want the whales to sell off their assets so that they can have opportunity of buying at a DIP price, so if the whales eventually decides to sell their coins and not buy again it will be a favourable moment for investors that will come in because they will buy at more cheaper prices.

If the whales move out of the market, it will only cause a sluggish movement of market prices but coins like Bitcoin can survive in the process and still bounce back stronger and it will even help investors because no activity in the market will cause an uproar again since the market is left with low investors of which their activities will not have much influence in the price especially when they sell.

There is no doubt that the influence of buy and sale of cryptocurrency by whales will affect their prices, based on the large amount of their holdings. If major bag holders of any particular altcoins will offload their bags on the coin/token, that project will most likely be dead but if a whale will sell off their Bitcoin, it can only affect the price on the short term and there will be price correction. As Marvelockg, stated in his post, it is not possible for all the whales to sale off their Bitcoin at the same time, as some are selling others are buying and the going concern will always continue. Even if most of the whales that are hodling Bitcoin now were to sale off, as far as the adoption is still increasing and more investors are buying, they will gradually accumulate the dumped Bitcoin and new whales will always emerge to buy and the market will continue to survive. Bitcoin has gained a reputation of being a store of value so the entry and exit of whales will only have short term effects on price and on the long term we will continue to see ATH price.

The idea of whales is a complex subject because whales entail various market participants even though we know quite a good number of them like MicroStrategy. Their activities in the market have direct impact on the price no doubt but for a high cap asset like bitcoin, it is becoming very difficult for a single entity to move the price. Instead, fundamental news are things that moves the market because they generate a market sentiment that is common to so many market participants which causes them to respond accordingly.

the whales comprises of not just individual holders but includes entities that exists because of crypto, like crypto exchanges and I doubt they would want to just sell off their holdings like that. Of course we can't deny the fact that their buy or sell decision always affect the market in some way but it's not possible that all of them would want to exit the market at the same time. If a big whale leaves and Bitcoin for instance dumps because of the effect of the sales and the sentiment it brought, it's going to open a buying opportunity for other prospective whales that will join the system. We can't also assume that the crypto space is going to witness situation where whales wouldn't sell off her holding at all but they might at some point sell and still buy more or don't even buy at all and another big player might comes into the system and become the key player in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

What happens with Bitcoin and all cryptos is same with what happens with most assets of different kinds. Variables like, Buy, sell, exit, entry, profit, loss and a whole lot of them are very much part of what you will experience but total exit of big players is not going to happen most expecially for Bitcoin that's still attracting a lot of big players even at the moment.

Apart from some known whales that are top holders of most crypto expecially Bitcoin, seized Bitcoin and the multi usability of crypto and Bitcoin makes the ecosystem one that can't be done away with or left out by by the big whales. It's just going to be the normal buy and sell that will constantly affect the market either positively or negatively but we won't have a total exit of the Bitcoin whales.

But if we're being just hypothetical and assume that anything close to that ever happens, people will continue to use crypto as a sure payment medium which still means that crypto will still survive with or without the big whales.
