nope. Who would invest in a coin like that?

Isn't this basically what ETH is about to do?

why do you say so, can you provide more details to this?

If lets say I leave my online wallet for more than 3 years that i didn't login to it.
Can the dev team ot an altcoin know where all the coins are and can retrieve the coins that aren't already being accessed for years?
For maybe they could assume the owner is dead.

If you want to forget of your investment for 3 years you need to buy PoW coins that have something that Bitcoin dont and will not have.
ICO is a project. Like Bitcrystals. Game will be out in September. Who knows if game will be still popular in 3 years time.  So inventing in Bitcrystals fro 3 years time is a bit silly.

Which coin do you think is better for long term investment?
I was thinking of BRK hoping that the coin will eventually rise above later because there are lots of users who will be using it like the gamblers in the forum.

Nobody would do that, because if you dont own the private keys, you cannot prove the address is yours

This. I would also be very concerned if they were able to access your wallet without needing the correct/an actual priv key. Even if only a dev had this function, this would be a huge security issue and a possible vector of attack in the future.

If you don't control the key, you don't possess the coin.

Thanks for confirming because I'm about to forget the coins i've bought from the ICO I've joined lately.  The value seem frustrating and that I may have forget it for now.
I was thinking of dumping it but was also thinking maybe it will someday grow and that maybe i should leave it for now and be back to it after years. and hope the dev will surprise me. Cheesy

Learn from your mistakes, they are all scams.
Bitcoin and Litecoin is all you need.  That is all, nothing else.

not all though.
I've invested to WAVES and RISE lately. i was thinking of also leaving it for now. its crazy duringthe first days of release though but it seem the price is going up now.
