I was looking at this puppies on dodge, and remembered it's still on scrypt... and then a little idea came to my mind...

what do you think?

Impossible to do under current situation.

Doge+LTC = 90% of scrypt

So they are merged mined as 1 even though they are 2 coins.

In order to do a 51% attack you need to get 358th of gear.

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/litecoin-hashrate.html 347 th

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/doge-hashrate.html. 358 th

those are not separate almost entirely merged mined and a fee are mining purge doge.

so the combined gear is not 347+358 = 705th

it is likely 405th max as some may mine pure ltc and some may mine pure doge.

say 300 ltc+doge merged

and  47 pure ltc and 58th pure doge.  which is 405 th in gear. or 405,000 gh which is about 805,000 l3+ miners

is all the hash in the world.

so if you can find 805,000 l3+ miners and deploy them you will have the ability to 51% attack the coin assuming no one else adds miners.

51% attacks occur on things like ETC coins which has a small fraction of gpus compared to eth and the gear need to attack the gear is already running.

If there are 805,000 spare l3+ out there right now they simply would have mined and made money. Not wreck the coin.

BTW a l3+ is going for over  1000 on ebay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/184864392152?

so 805,000 x 1300 = 1,046,500,000 1 billion in miners plus the farm to do the mining.

good luck with that attack

the farm needs to do 805,000 x .8 = 644,000 kwatts

or 644 megawatts about 1/9 of Niagara Falls power plant

To explain it better is it is actually more secure than any coin but btc

btc then doge then ltc. but doge and ltc are interlinked

I don't see why you can't discuss it. I don't think there is a rule against it. If you were thinking about coordinating a 51% attack maybe this forum might not be the best place to discuss that. Attacking a blockchain might be considered unethical so the moderators would be justified if they wanted to delete it but if you're only discussing a hypothetical scenario I don't see anything wrong with it.
