I'd love for this event to be posted at Bitcoin.org like the Prague conference was, but, honestly, I'm not sure how much it would help right now. It might be wiser to wait until there are a few more presenters and bitcoin businesses involved.

The Prague Conference was on bitcoin.org?

I wonder if that's because it was endorsed by them since it wasn't a general fan-convention.

We got a good base going thus far. It's not like I am starting this thing and about to close it due to lack of interest. Also, as far as I'm concerned, the convention is open to the community just as everything else is.

More people went to Bruce's. Should Bruce's be on bitcoin.org?

I might be going there myself actually, but I certainly don't think it's appropriate to put a shittily designed advertisement graphic on bitcoin.org spamming an event that is neither endorsed nor involved in bitcoin directly, much less bitcoin.org.

Try again.

Umm. No offense to the guys at Bitcon 2012 (which is just a bunch of dudes doing it out of their own love for bitcoin) but why would anyone think that a private, small time convention is appropriate to be associated with bitcoin.org when they won't even put up bitcointalk.org anymore?

If I have a convention next week, is that going to be on bitcoin.org?

Gavin needs money to pay developers for testing.  Maybe offer to buy some ad space and see if he takes it!

It would certainly help the convention and Bitcoin in general. To those who agree, say 'aye'.
