I think they are a lot of crypto based platforms that didnt raise fund via ICO. What you are looking for are airdrop or proof of work projects since most of theses types of altcoins didnt raise funds but ask people to mine theirs coins or just giveaway for free. Just by checking coinmarketcap I think there are Heat,Ardor, Pascal Coin,Byteball,Nano and many more just do your own research.
