And if you get one account banned, can you use other created earlier, or buy new one
or this can be considered as ban evasion?
It's not just your account that gets banned, you as a person are banned from using the forum.
If you create another account or continue to visit from your already active alts, aswell as if you buy an account,
that indeed is considered ban evasion, and usually results in a longer ban for both, your main account and the account you used to evade the ban.
The person can still visit the forum if he wishes. Also, he can visit the forum with the banned account or any other alt, but its just that he cannot post using thay account. He can only post in Meta section, and that wouldn't count as ban evasion.

Ugh.  It's definitely done in this forum but in certain circles it is definitely frowned upon, and some users will give a negative trust to the sold account if the fact of the sale is discovered.  So it's risky.  If an account with green trust is sold, that's even worse.  Those are the ones I worry about, because it's easy to leverage that trust to scam people.  I think Master-P did this.

If somebody wants to buy it, it's because they want to use your name to make money. Why not keep it, and make the money for yourself.

User id ? If you talk about bitcointalk account yes you can sell but that depend on your account. If this is the account I don't think worth to buy.

I was just asking for several years later (see my original question).  Yes it is worth nothing now.  I was just wondering if there is some value to be gained by participating on this site other than signature campaigns.
If you asking for several years later, try be active in this forum and increase your rank. Higher rank higher price and many people want it.

Accounts can, indeed, be bought and sold -- I came real close to selling this one a while back and I'm still not sure why it fell through. But it does take time to build it up to where it's really worth anything.

That's the problem, the account becomes a sentimental part of life!
It is hard to sell them - I feel. Hence, why I will not sll this for a long while.

If you want a full member account, you can usually get one for 0.1BTC which is quite a good rate for one.
Sr Member accounts are around 0.2BTC
Hero members are around 0.5BTC
and legendary can be anything above that!

These are based on my opinion and are in no way very reliable and useable.

You are allowed to buy accounts here however just beware of any hacked/stolen accounts. Always ask for a signed message.

That is some advice, however, it is better to purase an account that has not released its bitcoin address. If they have released a bitcoin address, they can easily get their account back. You can change your email and sell your user account freely.

Yes you can but the selling of accounts are highly frowned upon here so do it on an alt account where it won't get tagged by Dt member.

Going by this example: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wts-legendary-bitcointalk-account-2btc-1325208
A uid can possibly boost the price of an account.

People sell their accounts for a profit, and others buy them because they can earn from signature campaign with it. Or in rare cases, an account is bought to scam. As for email, yes that is changeable . If you have a signed message from a staked address from the seller, you should be fine , except in rare cases when adminstration gets involved.

How can an account be bought to scam?  The buyer or the seller is the scammer?
In most cases its the buyer that uses the reputation and the rank of the account to scam

I think I read on another post that users of this forum can sell their user id's.  Is this correct?  I'm just curious for years down the road when my id may be worth something.  What about the email address that goes with the id, can that be changed?

I have read this on our local forum here in bitcointalk, yes you can sell your useid and of course once you sold it everything on your profile will be change to the buyers preferences, including your email

I guess you are asking about if you can sell a Bitcointalk account?
Yes, this is true. Accounts can be sold. And yes, after a few years(if you keep posting) your account will be worth more than 0.5BTC maybe.
Yes, the emails can be changed.
