It is possible to buy bitcoin or altcoins without identification. It all depends on the platform you use if they ask KYC or not. There are some platforms out there that let you buy what cryptocurrency you want. One of the way to buy crypto is through buying bitcoin from another person who own some bitcoin and altcoins but it is risky though but you can also do the same but safety by using a service called escrow and it may cost you some money for the service.

Some of the platform today does not require too much KYC if you are just a person that does not have a trade for over two bitcoin per day. Some of the exchange platforms does not require KYC for their security is the yobit exchange ( personally in my opinion they have a bad customer service, this is just for an example ) their platform does not require information about users you can also use any kind of user name and email if you want but still, you can buy bitcoins and altcoins. OP already listed some of the platforms you can buy a lot of coins if you want but does require a KYC but on my country today does not have any kind of bitcoin atm instead we are supporting the use of having exchange like the Binance, coinbase, and coins.ph those trading and exchange platform requires us a KYC to make sure that all of the transactions are recorded to their users to easily identified the transactions not only the address.

On most exchanges you can buy alts-btc without kyc, it's just that they put limit on how much. I would rather use the already established exchanges rather than p2p where you aren't sure who you are dealing with, and Bitcoin ATMs have limited reach.

Sometimes there are still people taking advantage of the P2P transactions but still it depends on the person if they already trusted the person still it is now handled by the buyer and seller. In some places over the world they have a place that is secured and the people can trade their items even coins if they want because it is monitored all around by CCTV.

There are no btc atms near me Smiley believe me, I have tried looking for them on Google Maps
If you are in the United States, then this site seems to be able to help you find the position of a bitcoin ATM. You can also find bitcoin ATMs in various countries as listed on the site.

I see, Sad, i dont have any other method of buying though

You might want to check Bitcoin atms around you. Or use debit/credit card to buy bitcoin. Might as well register on some websites like Advcash which supports fiat to buy bitcoin and also can give you a bitcoin debit card. But as always, you'll have to do some KYC.

Pretty sure registration for this kind of service is not that difficult as long as you don't mind some KYC. Or did you not have any bank accounts, debit card or something like that? If that's what happens, then doing face to face transaction is probably your alternative.

Bitcoin ATMs are not available in every country but local crypto is available globally. I prefer using it than any other listed here. Local Bitcoin was good until they started asking KYC. Nowadays it is getting harder to get Bitcoin without KYC.

Their is no need to do KYC for buying btc. You can directly buy btc from debit card or from your bank account. Many exchanges are offering this services. Binance also offer to buy btc through you bank account even you don't need to do KYC. Their is some limitations like maximum 1k 2k worth of btc you can buy without KYC but i dont think so it's take any problem to buy it. Also their are so many other way you can buy like from friends who own bitcoin or peer to peer service. So it's not a big deal.

Is there a website where I can buy BTC with paypal (not verified) in the US without ID?

the problem with PayPal is that it is super easy to scam people with its simple charge-back option. and in the past there has been a lot of scams using this method and it works because bitcoin transactions are irreversible unlike PayPal transaction. so you won't find anybody legitimate who would trade with you without a tremendous amount of trust which in case of platforms comes with verification.

Exchanging BTC to Paypal USD is quite hard without being verified. However, try checking out all the platforms in this link: https://www.bestchange.com/bitcoin-to-paypal-usd.html. Be sure to read the terms and conditions of each of them. Maybe you could get those that do not require verification.

If still there is no solution, check the currency exchange board for people exchanging BTC for paypal. Use only trusted members and escrow services for transactions

ok, thx i will check this out

It is not popular or known to many people. I just checked buyer/sellers from my local and I found very low amount of traders from my local there, also their offers are too high from the market or too low from the market.

Maybe it's not yet popular for some countries yet but the number of traders who have been joining it from my Country has surely grown ever since Localbitcoins decided to act bitchy.

I remember them from 2018. Back then they were still called LocalEthereum and only traded in Ether, there were barely any traders from my country using it too and the spread was so ridiculous.

No need for sarcasm...

many people still do not know what it is KYC and what it entails....

Some ATMs do require identification but most of them are largely anonymous.

I think its still the easiest and fast and safe way to make a sale or purchase.

Under the P2P trading platforms you missed out one of the fastest growing P2P trading platforms, that's localcryptos. After getting disappointed with localbitcoins, most traders who did not want to perform KYC procedures decided to switch over to it among other platforms.

There is also a problem in buying of Bitcoin on some Bitcoin ATMs, since the spread of buying price and selling price here is far different, which is extremely far different on the real price of Bitcoin in some exchanges, but I think this is one of the ways that Bitcoin ATMs can earn money or make profits. And also I think there is some limit in buying Bitcoin in Bitcoin ATMs like there is a minimum limit or maximum limit you can buy.

Bitcoin Atms
This is the most straightforward way to buy and sell Bitcoin or Alts for cash. A Bitcoin ATM is an automatic machine, no Identification required and the process can be completed in minutes.

How do you locate a bitcoin ATM? There are two leading sites dedicated to that purpose: CoinAtmRadar and BitcoinAtmMap. The two services offer a Bitcoin ATM map service.

From what I know not all crypto ATMs are KYC-free countries like the UK and New Zealand before you can even access their Bitcoin ATMs your account must be registered and KYC verified by there service, in some countries like the Philippines where there Bitcoin ATMs are services part of banks also require you to open a bank account from their bank and undergo a KYC process as well so definitely Bitcoin ATMs are not some kind of service where anyone has full access with it since looking at it right now it is now also under string AML compliance from their respective governments.

KYC - Know Your Customer – is a procedure that a business uses to validate its customers identity. KYC usually means gathering several of the customer’s identification documents: government-issued cards, address and utility bills to prove it, phone numbers, email etc.

Thank you, I didn't know what KYC was about, even after reading about it for years, finally, in 2020 I know exactly .
I think everyone knows about KYC, no need to repeat as if we were 5 years old.

And the platforms may not ask your ID but the other parties (sellers/buyers) may can, it's up to you to accept the deal or not but for example, dealing with Paypal is something popular to ask. If you want to use a bank account (one of the most popular methods) you can not avoid the KYC verification with the bank.

Can you buy Bitcoin and Alts without Identification? Yes, there are still quite a few channels to buy and sell Bitcoin without any Identification, complicated KYC/AML procedures and waiting for account to be approved.

KYC - Know Your Customer – is a procedure that a business uses to validate its customers identity. KYC usually means gathering several of the customer’s identification documents: government-issued cards, address and utility bills to prove it, phone numbers, email etc.

In some cases the company will ask the customer to make a selfie holding a formal document near his face. With time this becomes a crypto industry standard.
