I'm a Canadian but wanted to fund my account with my US credit debit or US credit card. I'm having problems with the small amounts they deduct for verification; I see the amounts in my account(s) and enter them in, but it says it does not match their records.

I was curious if there was any type of conversion going on when the two charges hit my account, since my address is in Canada and I'm using a US credit card, so I changed "local currency" preferences to USD. Tried again and the same thing happened. Called bank and they just see what I see: two amounts of, say, $1.49 USD and $1.08 in pending transactions.

I notice others have this error happen and coinbase is so bogged down now I don't really wanna wait a week for a response.

Is there any reason to assume using a US credit card when my address states Canada would be an issue? It certainly isn't on any other payment processor I've ever used in my lifetime online.

I have tried with two US credit debit cards two times for each card over the past 2 days. I always get the small amounts deducted from my account and can clearly see them, but when entering them into coinbase they always say the numbers do not match their records  Undecided
