Totally new to the mining world. I have some solar panels, and I was hoping to both generate a little spare heat in the winter, and also support the network with a miner or two. So I bought a used s9j on newegg... from china... and its not working
I have no idea where to even start, and was hoping to take advantage of the knowledge of all you kind hearted strangers.
When i start up the miner, hashing board 1 and 2 have a small red light on. Board 3 does not.
but after a minute or so, the 'fault' light flashes once for a split second, the fans spin down, and the small red lights on 1 and 2 shut off and the red light on board 3 turns on, and stays on.
Is there something obvious going on here? Something specific to look for in the kernel log maybe? My very uneducated guess is board 3 is dead or faulty, but I'm pretty out of my depths.
