Sweet!  Is it a tricky setup (Windows 7), or will CCC and GUIMiner recognize the cards right away?

I just started mining with 6 - 7950's in windows 7 x64. Was using guiminer at first, but guiminer wasn't using the cards full potential. I downloaded a copy of cgminer, and was surpprised at how easy it was to make work. I have MSI twin frozone III cards which are overclockable. With a common box house fan pointing at them, they run at about 570 gh/s and 70 - 72 c.

Yeah, at 650Mhash, I don't think I am fully utilizing my 7970...I should get CGMiner.

i am afraid of all these people that start to mine who have little to no computer knowledge.

A lot of people who these days seems to know everything there is to know about mining/hardware on these forums started out just as clueless not that long ago. However what we need is a sticky FAQ, every time we have a influx of new people we end up answering the same questions 10x a week ;P

Agreed. I searched pretty good and if it wasn't for people responding so quickly, I likely would have kept wading through the gobs of posts.

I have plenty of computer knowledge, thanks. I was just unaware if the mining software needed cards to be Crossfired to take advantage of them.

Thanks to everyone else for their help who WASN'T a douche.

Its like having multiple printers. Just select which one you want to print/mine on and off you go.

I have actually removed CCC because I have a feeling it interferes with Sapphire Trixx.

This.

CCC always decides to mess with the fan settings, even when it's told not to it'll decide to start messing again.  It's a pain in the hole.

I run multiple cards in 1 PC with no bridge and cgminer just picks them up as GPU 0, GPU 1 , GPU 2, etc

There is no "trick" involved, and CCC isn't even necessary, your mining software will just pick them up after you install the drivers.

I have a few systems with spare PCI slots...can I put 7950's in them and mine without having to CrossFire it with my main card?
