Look, you've had your answer.
But my advice to you is don't.
It's very risky and stupid.
Better still, ask the wizard, in the service to do everything, and if something goes wrong, they are the penalty you pay (in case of breakage)

If there is an overload, the motherboard will be damaged.
And if you do everything wisely, slowly, watching the temperature and characteristics-everything will be fine

Hello,

I have a modular PSU with a burned out PCI-E plug that I want to use for a desktop computer. I'm having second thoughts on using it. I know it still works because the fan and lighting (colors) still works. The only burned part is the PCI-E plug, the rest of the plugs are visually fine. I won't be needing the PCI-E plug since I won't add a GPU on the desktop computer, I will be using the internal GPU. Does using this will cause damage to the motherboard or can I safely use it without problem?

Thank you!
