The only reason governments make hate speech or race laws is, government wants to monopolize everything. If they didn't, they wouldn't make laws at all. But now they are proving that they want to monopolize hate speech groups by speaking their hate for ALL groups that speak hate, or by opposing EVERY race other than the government race (remember, all elections are races between people running for government positions) that express self autonomy of their race.

I think nearly all western countries now ( here in the UK too ) have some kind of hate speech laws in place or hate crime law and it's stupid shit invented by old white men and as I've actually seen people comment it's just white guilt. Also saw a very interesting interview with John Cleese and Bill Maher and he said it was very codascending that they somehow need 'more' protection than us which I completely agree with.

If the law gives favourtism towards certain groups simply based on ethnic or religious backgrounds then there is no equality.

Clearly a violation of free speech but that's what happens when you create protected classes of people based upon race, sexual orientation, gender or whatever. It's safe to say that one group of people never get protection and that's white straight men w/o a disability. Undeniable fact and it's basically that group that these laws are mostly geared towards punishing based on political correctness.

I just recently learned that Canada can and will put you in jail for expressing personal opinions deemed to be hateful against an "identifiable group." I really thought better of America's northern friends. This is clearly a violation of free speech rights.

Quote
The Criminal Code of Canada[edit]
Sections 318, 319, and 320 of the Code forbid hate propaganda.[4] "Hate propaganda" means "any writing, sign or visible representation that advocates or promotes genocide or the communication of which by any person would constitute an offence under section 319."

Section 318 prescribes imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years for anyone who advocates genocide. The Code defines genocide as the destruction of an "identifiable group." The Code defines an "identifiable group" as "any section of the public distinguished by colour, race, religion, ethnic origin or sexual orientation."

Section 319 prescribes penalties from a fine to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years for anyone who incites hatred against any identifiable group.

Under section 319, an accused is not guilty: (a) if he establishes that the statements communicated were true; (b) if, in good faith, the person expressed or attempted to establish by an argument an opinion on a religious subject or an opinion based on a belief in a religious text; (c) if the statements were relevant to any subject of public interest, the discussion of which was for the public benefit, and if on reasonable grounds he believed them to be true; or (d) if, in good faith, he intended to point out, for the purpose of removal, matters producing or tending to produce feelings of hatred toward an identifiable group in Canada.

Section 320 allows a judge to confiscate publications which appear to be hate propaganda.
