I think they provide a great smooth service. I've never had any down time and have always been able to easily get my money in and out. The only thing I liked more was LiberyBit due to their low fees but as we learned that business model simply wasn't feasible. Joseph appears to be doing a good job of keeping the service running and staying proactive amid a difficult to work with banking industry, I see them positioned to become a star player for BTC users in Canada and to grow strongly alongside the Bitcoin economy.

This thread was bumped after 2 months of being inactive.  A lot has changed since then, and I no longer have problems with them.  They made mistakes during the verification process that cost me a lot of time, and was the fault of one person in their verification department who gave me the wrong reason as to why my documents weren't getting approved, but I'm long past that now..
You could edit the thread title and add [FIXED] or something.

Only issue is that you have to use Wire and cannot send CAD directory to btc Sad bank charges 3%-5% on CAD -> USD conversion, maybe use a third party wire transfer which uses somethign closer to usdcad spot rate?

yes CAD to USD is no fun, but at least there are no issues with someone holding onto your money for no reason.

For conversions you can use something like http://www.ukforex.co.uk/ - worked well for converting my funds for my initial investment in 2011 Smiley

Haven't had a problem with them other than the usurious fees charged by Joseph Davidstein.

It's pretty ridiculous of you to make a thread, reply a few times, but completely withhold the relevant details, as if you're so busy.

As a Canadian, I've had no problems with them. Deposit via online bill payment from my bank, withdraw directly to my account.

Ditto. There is not an easier method available to Canadians than this. Click, click, wait, click click, and you have bitcoins in your cold wallet.

Check their rates. I don't send USD and save about 4% in conversion.

Well CaVirtEx is your only option for large BTC purchases. Mt Gox takes forever, and QuickBT.com is maxed at 0.4 a day.

This is sad but they have to abide to Canadian law.

You don't even know what the details yet, so what are you talking about?

Verification issues on a large deposit.  I only used caps lock on a few words so relax, ninja bird.  Huh

You are mad because they enforce AML and KYC regulations?

If you don't tell what's the problem while using caps then your post has no value.

I am having A LOT of issues right now with them, worse than Mt. Gox.
It's stressing me out so bad my hair is turning grey at this very moment.
I'll be posting a full review with every detail later.

Just a heads up, do NOT use CAVIRTEX for your BTC needs.
Bitstamp so far is the best way to go for Canadians.
