I've decided to get the casascius coin graded by anacs, I never had a graded ms69 in my hands Wink. Coin will probably for sale after that.

Yeah no kidding, haha I'm sure it won't last long.

I think in that case I will for now cancel this auction and ask our trusted escrow to refund those already paid. The interest at the moment is not high enough for this raffle.

If in the future it looks like there will be a higher chance this will succees I might try it again.

Thanks everyone for the trust in this raffle and me and lets hope the other big raffle is a big succes.

sorry buddy - but stacking the house just isn't fly in my eyes.

It wasnt something I was looking forward either, there would effectivly be a 50% chance in that case to give this coin away for free. But I guessed it would be better then cancelling this. I dont feel a grudge or anything about it towards you or anything, it is your good right to pull your reservations when I change the raffle rules halfway. I just like to thank everyone that made a reservation and tried getting this off the ground.

No one should hold a grudge here so long as all the refunds are sent out. This was an attempt at a huge raffle, but given the lower entry price point I would have assumed it would be full by now. Maybe next time.  Sad

I have asked Blazed to do the refunds and I will pay him all transaction fees etc.

I to expected more people would join with 2 or 3 tickets cause of the low entry, guess we were both wrong.

Gonna have to take a gamble in this.

1) If in 24 hours no new tickets have been sold I will fill up all remaining tickets with my name. Effectively almost halving the revenue of this raffle for me and taking a big gamble.

I do need all participants to agree with this.

2) I will remove the maximum amount of tickets that people can reserve from now on. If the entrants want to they can reserve more spots now.

Get your ticket now! 50% of the tickets are left, reserve your preferable spot now.

If tickets dont start coming in next days I might lift the max tickets per person and see if there is more interest from them.

I wouldnt want to cancel this auction, and it cant be because of entryfee. Those prizes are worth every Satoshi of the 2.56 btc total entry. Selling these items seperately would yield over 2.56btc.

How many slots are left blaater? I want to spin this one soon Cheesy

Could be one or two off by manually counting now but I think there are 138 slots left at the moment. Nearly 50% full. And I agree, I want to get this show on the road. This coin needs to leave cause it is too pretty and it is yelling out: "Don't ship me away I'm soooo pretty". When coins start yelling that to you it is time for them to go to their new owner.

The coins from TookDK arrived today as expected. And really, this is a steal. The coin is EASILY a MS-68 and I'd say it is most likely a MS-69 if you get this graded. I have not seen a better coin from 2012 in this condition. I've taken the liberty to make some more pictures, they can be found here http://imgur.com/a/stUDF

Great pictures and the coin does look stunning! Whoever wins is surely a lucky fella and can be a proud owner of that one Smiley

I agree, this is one of those coins that when graded can fetch you 2BTC who doesnt want a MS-69 Casascius coin?

(yes this is a bump).

Weekend is almost over, lets fill it up!

At least 2BTC, and if held on to for long enough, who knows really. Beautiful coin!

Done, the dices randomly selected group C, spot A.

I want to reserve 3 spots for each group please (48 in total). Please assign a number randomlym

Done, 48 pieces, 3 in each. Too many to list here.
Big prizes, big raffle!

This raffle will have 256 spots, groups 0-9 and a-f each consisting of 16 spots (0-9 and a-f), for a total of 256 spots.

This may be an easier selection process to use 256 spots and use the last 2 characters of a block??
just my 2 satoshi. Cheesy thanks

If we do that I would like to reserve 1e, e0

I've not yet added you as you specifically mention if we use the other newer way. If you do want to participate, let me know.

Over 100 spots have been reserved or paid now. In fact we are getting close to 128 which is the 50% mark. If you want to have any preferences left on your spots, this is the time to get in as more and more spots are being taken.

Might have been easier for the next time, but this way it does up the tension cause you will only know the group that won first block, where your method the winner is instantly known. But your method is indeed a lot easier and probably better understandable for others. I will probably use it for the next one as people already signed up using this method now.

2nd place will win:
(1) One 1st Edition Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins Collectors Edition. Number #017/#025.
Signed by lots of cryptocoin makers including Casascius.

To my knowledge, these are only signed by the 3 authors and Mike Caldwell from Casascius.

No other makers signed this book (unless Blazed signed for Silver Wallets Wink  )

It is the newer hardback Autographs Editions (and label sets from bithalo) that have all the signatures Smiley

thanks

Will update! Thank you for the clarification.

Am I correct that the newer hardcovers are 'missing' Mike's signature and he only signed the softcover series 1 batch?

This is correct. Mike only signed for the 25 Autograph 1st Editions!! Cheesy

I did not sign it and doubt my signature would help the value at all. The signature that matters is obviously Mike's!

New raffle format, I'm not lucky with these things, but be interesting to watch how it goes. Wink

It is 2017, maybe your luck has changed Wink.

I hope this big raffle format will be a succes, multiple bigger prizes should attract people.

Any profit I make with these raffles will be invested into new prizes, hopefully the prizes that way will increase every raffle.

Who knows, we might start 2018 with a 10 btc coin prize haha.

Seems like a complex raffle, but you have some very sweet prizes there.

Just to be clear, is there a max 3 spots for the entire raffle? Can one person win several prizes? Does winner pay for shipping?

Looking forward to see how this will unveil.

Each person can have a maximum of 16 x 3 tickets. 3 tickets per group max.

Shipping is included in the ticket price.

Thank you for letting me know, how about several prizes for one winner, is it possible?

Yes, this is possible, there will be no limit to amount of prizes won.

Great, I get it now!

Could I please reserve "4" in Group 4, "a" in Group F and "0" in Group 9. Payment will follow once spots are beginning to fill up.

EDIT; Could you perhaps make the pictures a bit smaller? There's a lot of scrolling as it is now.

You can easily do this by adding an "l" to the end of the link, like this: https://i.imgur.com/6Th4mZe"l".jpg, without "".

Big prizes, big raffle!

This raffle will have 256 spots, groups 0-9 and a-f each consisting of 16 spots (0-9 and a-f), for a total of 256 spots.

This raffle will have a total of 4 (four) prizes, more about the prizes later.

How will all winners be decided?

The winner will be pick based on the hash of a block (which will be determined when all spots are taken and paid for). The ending number or letter of the first chosen block will determine the winning group for the number 1 prize.

The hash of the (5th) fifth block after the previously mentioned will determine what spot in the group will win the first place prize.
This hash will at the same time determine the group that won for the (2nd) second place.

Three blocks later the hash of that block will determine:
1: The spot that won the second place prize
2: The group that will win the (3rd) prize.

Three blocks later the hash of that block will determine:
