Is there a way to cancel the transaction and re-do it properly??

Neither of the two transactions you sent recently have confirmed yet, so it might still be possible to fix this (depending on what wallet you used to send the transaction.  Right now it is difficult, but once one of the transactions confirms, it will become practically impossible.

Fortunately you paid a pretty small transaction fee, and the network is pretty busy right now.  That increases the chances that these transactions won't confirm soon (giving you more time to fix the problem).

If the transaction does confirm, then the other option is to ask the person that received the extra bitcoins that you sent to send them back to you.  If they are trustworthy, then they should do it.  If they aren't trustworthy, then why are you sending them your bitcoins in the first place?

I just recently went to to send .078 bitcoin from one of my addresses that contained .08.
I accidently sent .78 without realizing it until after confirming the transaction.  I have that much balance in my wallet, but not in the address that I requested it be sent from.
Is there a way to cancel the transaction and re-do it properly??

This is the transaction ID if that helps: 8c053c5ba16025a13c006dd123441feb8a294928a7281257544deee553ad244c
