I wouldn't say marijuana stocks have anything to do with crypto, at least no more than penny stocks.
I do have a bit of exposure to Cronos (NASDAQ:CRON) through an Altria (NYSE:MO) investment.

Would I invest in cannabis? certainly yes. because in our world more and more people are starting to use cannabis. more and more countries are beginning to allow the use and possession of cannabis. Cannabis is also used for medical purposes. I think this is a good investment.
So it looks like Cannabis aka Marijuana related stocks are similar to cryptos.

I have seen some Cannabis/Marijuana related coins in the market but I didn't tend to put up money on them because there would be only less interest for sure but still it did manage to pump out recently when the news came out about legalization on some countries which its being affected into those fundamentals other than that I don't see any circumstance that it would sustain for long term.Care to share if you've invested?

Cannabis may be thriving for some reasons in the world, but for me personally, I wont want to engage in it and its because of the social menace this has done to the society. Over here, its really hard to see someone behaving in an abnormal way without having anything to do with cannabis despite the amount of regulation that surrounds it and even the security agencies that have been set up to tackle such menace. Maybe in the future when its well controlled and regulated, I might change my mind on it.
It's a pretty well known one because it's basically the first mj etf, but MJX is interesting. It was a real estate etf last month, then they switched completely to mj related, maybe worth a look but do your own research for sure.

Yes! This is the next gold rush. I think at least, that is.
I gotta say, the cannabis investments feel like they are on the brink of a moon shot right now. The daily gains are continually going up a lot like that of the crypto markets. 5-20% daily fluctuations are rather frequent. When recreational sales in California initiated at the beginning of January, one stock went up 34%! Though a few days later, our Attorney General cried out on his intention to prosecute illegal operations under federal law. Stocks tumbled that day but the next day they bounced. I'm a little wary of this new announcement, but everyone here pretty much hates our governing administration at the moment and a lot of the news articles I have read so far seem to say that the industry is to big to stop now.
I'm interested in a few stocks in the U.S. but I'm more interested in some of the Canadian based companies. If the rumors are true (which they seem to be), Canada as a whole will legalize recreational marijuana for adult use by July 2018. That's huge! I'm seeing solid gains in ACBFF, APHQF, SPRWF, TWMJF and OGRMF and likely others. I would be interested to hear about other stocks people are looking at too.
