Don't worry. It was something so simple that I don't think I deserve a tip.

I'm just glad that I could help Smiley

Cheers.

Edit: just received 0.005BTC in my 1Ninja... address. Was that you? Grin

If so, thank you!

Why are you checking "BIP39 seed"? Try to restore your seed again but without it.

You could also just open your old Electrum wallet directly into Electron Cash. Just do: "File" -> "Open" -> Select your old Electrum wallet file (A).

You were right, I generated new address without BIP39 and the BCH appeared . Thank you thank you.  Cheesy

To what address can I tip you?

First of all, open up electron cash, and then click "Wallet -> Addresses". After that you should see all of the generated addresses from there.
Can you see your addresses there with your BCH? If not, then i suggest going back to your old electrum wallet, and then going through every address with BCH on them on the list, right click them to see the private  keys.

Then go into electron cash, create new wallet and click "Import bitcoin addresses or private keys", then enter one private key on each line.
You only need to do this for addresses with BCH on them.

Hello,

Am not able to retreive the BCH. Here are the steps I took in case someone can help:

Moved all BTC from electrum wallet (A) into a newly created electrum wallet (B).
Installed electron cash and created a Standard wallet using the seed of old electrum wallet A by choosing 'I already have a seed'
I entered the electrum wallet A passphrase into electron cash
I choose Options and then BIP39seed and pressed OK
Derivation: I modified it to m/0
and 0 BCH appear in the electron cash wallet.

I then did it again exactly the same and left the Derivation to the one that is by default, which is m/44'/145'/0',
and 0 BCH appear again in the electron cash wallet.

I have not chosen the 'Use public or private keys' option in electron cash. Should I choose that instead? And if so, is it still ok to extract and use the private keys of old electrum wallet A that is now empty?

What am I doing incorrectly?

Thank you.
