appdata is a hidden folder. That makes it more difficult to find if you do now know specifically where to look or how to show hidden folders.

the %appdata% is a variable within windows that always points to your appdata folder, hence why it was so easy.

1. click on the start button
2. type %APPDATA%
3. a window opens with some folders in it
4. open the bitcoin folder

Ok that worked. Not sure why it was so easy to get to that from start menu and not cmd, but thanks man.

So my block index file got corrupted somehow and i received that message "error loading blkindex.dat" a few days ago. And before this thread is shut-down/ignored ill have you know i did research this on/off forums and found tons of people self-solving the issue and such with only deleting the blkindex.dat file.

However, using windows 7, i cannot find for the life of me the file im supposed to delete. I went to C:/Users/My user name/???. The "Huh" is because i cant find a folder anywhere that says APPDATA or roaming app data. I even used CMD to try to search for it but it tells me that folder doesn't exist.

I feel like the only thing i could have done was install the wallet in a completely different folder somehow that i can't even find.

Any suggestions/tips?
