Some video playing programs create association for .dat files, i think somtimes they are videos, but in this case it's not a video, don't even try opening the file (some video programs have functionality to fix corrupt videos, there is the risk the program will mess up your wallet if you try to open it, just leave it where it is)
That's ok.

That's finally done right now. My bitcoins are in my account. status: 59 confirmed. 142590 blocks.

My client shows 142555 "blocos".

I don't have XP so I can't help you find the Bitcoin folder.

I did find my bitcoin folder and the wallet.dat with the superfastkyle' tip.

Now my client show 134994 "blocos" and up.

I always just type %appdata% in a windows explorer address bar then click on the bitcoin directory. Maybe you went to the wrong user directory?
Oh, thanks, now I found my bitcoin folder.

The wallet file is show like a MPeG Movie File (to be open on my KMP Player).

I will wait for the blocks.

Hi,

I bought some bitcoins in a brazilian exchange site and there the transaction is show as completed, but in my client, I still have no sald:

I use Win XP and I can't find my wallet.dat at C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\
There is no bitcoin folder there.

Can anyone help me?
