Check for the first letter of the password if it is in caps.. Usually tablets/phones tend to mark the first letter in Caps. I don't know if you understand me..

Bingo! Had to change my password because one or more characters were not reading properly but works now.
So what was the problem? you had a uppercase which you didn't input on your tablet?
My guess is that there was some confusion between a capital letter "I", a small letter "l" and a numeric "1".

You at a uni or some where with shared IP ?
That could cause the 45 sec error if someone else is posting or logging in using same IP
If you will have time, maybe try it at night so the other person posting from same IP should be asleep. That could cause the 45 sec error if someone else is posting or logging in using same IP
