Which wallet do you make use of, and under which blockchain do you have Ethereum? There are some wallets where tokens might already exist, but they won't be visible until you enable them manually through the wallet settings, especially for tokens that are not enabled by default.

So if you can be kind enough to share which wallet you use and under which blockchain you have the said Ethereum, it will be way easier to get help from anyone who might have experience with such a wallet.
since you have the idea I think that you should list those wallet that is not supportive to earth coins so that another people who is novice or who is unaware of the particular wallet can be able to make some amendment that is why we are here to solve people's problem and also provide a solution to a future problem in case of anything that will be a problematic to the existence of blockchain technology

Have tried coinomi for linux and for android and coinbase wallet, and metamask all wallets says 0 ethereum but a bit of bitcoin, so my passphrase is right.
but they exists in my memory and in the blockchain as not moved from me, if i understand it right?
Coinomi is a dying wallet and full of vulnerabilities. it should never be used. Move your funds out of that wallet and addresses ASAP. You are not the only person experiencing the problem of disappeared Ethereum balances. Check their Subreddit, there have been complaints about this for several days and the customer support is not helping -- https://www.reddit.com/r/COINOMI/

Look for alternative wallets like Electrum, sparrow wallet for Bitcoin. Unstoppable wallet for multiple crypto coins etc.

Use the iancoleman tool to extract private keys for your Ethereum wallet and import them to wallet softwares like Metamask in order to see and spend your Ether.

Follow BitMaxz's instructions

I tried to check, and it seems that the Ethereum server in my Coinomi wallet is down, the same as Monero I've tried to open my Coinomi wallet, and the coin icon shows red look at the image below

https://i.ibb.co/MCBDn41/20240112-132825.jpg

According to Coinomi support red dot means no connection so possible the server/nodes for Ethereum and other coins are dead.

You don't have any other choice but to switch to other wallets that support these coins Ethereum and Monero. To be able to move to another wallet you need to extract the private key from your backup seed phrase you can use https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ as I suggested above and import the private key to another wallet like metamask.

Check this guide on how to export the private key from Coinomi.
For importing private key to Metamask follow this "How to Import Ethereum using a private key"

Take note for safety purposes you can run the BIP39 tool offline to avoid online vulnerabilities.
Once you imported the private keys to other wallets I suggest transfer your funds again to a new wallet with a new backup seed phrase.

Thanks for that nice reply, I got my funds back, using iancoleman.io tool

I thought that if just i have my seed phrase secured i always be able to use a wallet software of choice, but some how coinomi locked my ethereum in, thought that if i prove my ownership by cryptography of an dataset (wallet) on the internet (multiple places), proving the current value, then i'm the owner and can use it as i please, witch will update that dataset.
scary shit there, now i will figure out, what will be the secure and best way i preserve and keep crypto currency.
I did't ment to be rude with my double post, but i posted in a diffrent sub section of bitcoin talk, and moderators moved my post to here, all new as i am here, i did t know to find my post, they just disapeared from the list, so i thought of some forum error.

OP, Maybe it is a glitch some days ago my friend showed me his wallet which showed he had 3 Ethereum in his wallet which he never bought now it depends on which wallet you are using. Try to log in into your wallet in different application using your private key as it may help you to show your real time amount.

wallets fetches data from Blockchains if the current wallet you are using may be facing some errors that is why not showing your real time amount in the wallet. So do not worry dear try another application and import your wallet there. Maybe it will help you.

Second scenario did you click on any phishing link? as it may compromise your wallets which in results your amount will be washed out by hackers and if not so do not worry and try to import your wallets into another application.

I think almost all bitcoin and ethereum wallets are definitely active because these two coins will always be in every wallet.
So I'm a little confused why the wallet doesn't show the balance.

It would be really helpful if you told us which wallet you used to create the receiving address. Not every ethereum wallet uses the same derivation path so you might get different addresses when you restore the seed in a different wallet. If you are using Metamask or another wallet that fetches your history through Infura, then it could be you are in a sanctioned country and those wallets won't work without changing the default configuration.

you probably used wrong RPC maybe you are using arbitrum or any other l2 layer or there's something wrong with the wallet, if you got private key maybe you can just import it to metamask and check.
after all if you don't even give at least ss of your etherscan and your wallet then its just gonna be all wild guesses here.
but overall try using wallet that are up to date and most used, i think for testing like this i prefer metamask since i can play around with the RPC.
but if the ETH still in your address from etherscan it means its not going anywhere.

Hey Forum
I can't restore my funds (ethereum) in my wallet software. I got some bitcoin and some ethereum (or some fractions of them... Smiley
but when I setup my wallet i only see the bitcoins, my ethereum says 0. but on etherscan.io i can see that i got some ethereum.
How do i restore my ethereum?

If you can see your Ethereum on Etherscan and your wallet address matches, you have nothing to worry about because your Ethereum is there. The only issue may be with your wallet. Try importing your Ethereum private key or passphrase into the MetaMask wallet. Explore the wallet settings there might be a feature on how to retrieve your Ethereum private key or passphrase. Just be careful when importing the private key/passphrase, as a single mistake can result in a different wallet appearing.

What wallet app do you use? That’s the very first question to ask. Now irrespective of what wallet it is, what you see on the blockchain is accurate. The wallet you’re using is built off of the blockchain so it’s equally fetching data from the blockchain. Use your private key or mnemonic phrase to login your wallet in another wallet app and see if it still doesn’t show the correct balance as it should.
He mentioned all the wallet he tried in the OP. My guess is his initial wallet was coinomi because so many users are complaining about similar problems.

OP trying to import his seed to other wallet might not show the balances because of probably different derivation path used by coinomi vs Coinbase and Metamask wallets. The best way is to use a tool like iancoleman to extract the private keys and the import them to Metamask.

Are you sure your Ethereum was received in your account address? If received in your account then you can view the transaction by visiting your address Etherscan. If not then I'm sure you got Base Network Ethereum. Base network ethereum you don't get from ethereum transactions. For this you need to look at the base Ethereum network scan.

Base Ethereum

Search your trust wallet search button and you will definitely find base ethereum. Base Ethereum will show your Ethereum you set. If you don't understand then definitely write a message here.

No need of duplicating your topic. I reported it and maybe some other people  reported it and it was moved from wallet software to altcoin discussion because you are referring to ether which is an altcoin. Wait for people that know more about ethereum.

No need of opening the same thread on wallet software board again just like you just did because this thread was moved to altcoin discussion.
I was planning to call you attention when I first saw the thread and read it to the end. And from what I understand from the Op he has not used the real ETHEREUM wallet to import the seed phrase by was trying to used other multifunctional wallets to do that. And I saw someone asked him the wallet he was using for the importation. And if Op has opened the topic as somewhere else then there was no need for the topic to repeat itself again. One topic or thread can answer the question. Op should wait for those who are using Ethereum wallet to give him the right answer.

Though the op is worried because of the Ethereum that he has not seen in the wallet. Op if you know that the seed phrase is correct then you have to use the correct wallet for the Ethereum. And if you missed one letter or word then you will lost your Ethereum forever.

I hope you post his etherscan explorer here so we can know if he has been confirmed, because maybe later there will be no confirmation, so you won't really be able to see the balance. You can see your Bitcoin balance, but only ETH is missing.

So this is what I think is the reason that maybe the Eth network is congested, so it's not there yet, so just wait and come in and confirm that as well. Next, complete the issue of your problem.
