When I read the title I immediately thought it was more stuff from the super genius guys, so I went to watch the videos and was shocked by the amount of fights, the videos are many hours long which means that it is an event that consumes many hours a day and even I found it interesting that there are commentators in the fight, it looks like football games in which the commentator comments on every movement of the ball and the players on the field, without a doubt it's something very good for players of Capcom games, it reminds me of my old ones There were times when I played on the computer, whenever I saw that it was a Capcom game I was more motivated to play

but I was irritated by fighting games like this that these guys are playing because when the opponent throws a fireball, for example, the only options to defend are: jump or also throw another fireball or water ball, there are no options to create a shield or other type of defense, years have passed since capcom started with fighting games but it seems to me that there is still this part that needs to be improved, I don't know what the qualifiers are like in this tournament, but it's probably a 1 vs 1 fight in two rounds, the winner advances to another phase, I could be wrong about that. It would be very complicated for casinos to place betting options on this tournament

There is a whole strategy behind the fights, it's not just reaction time... All characters have a framedata, which is a count of frames of action time and reaction time... Every fighting game is turn-based , you need to know when to attack or defend to finally define your strategy.

It is necessary to manage resources (that green bar below life)... all of this in a matter of seconds, with every wrong decision you can be punished and lose a round

There are characters with the most varied strategies, rushdown, zooner, shoto... it's not as simple as it appears...

check out the framedata of the JP character:

The game is extremely competitive.

Only problem with these are that i see them purely as reaction time games, and that doesn't leave any kind of followable strategy for most people, as there are only so many 2 dimensional moves you can use against each character. I don't see that gambling on these would be enjoyable, even if you were hard core player yourself. One bad day would affect reaction time significally, and there's only so much you can train.

At least with some shooting games you combat as a group, so you can polish 3d space tactics. But i don't have anything against the fact these are a thing, and they should be a growing thing, they are just not for me. But i rather see huge Civilization games being played like chess.

And i have to say i was impressed to see how big prices they have, but then again that shouldn't surprise me as AAA+ games have massive revenue and they are only going to grow while every year there are more and more players.

No personally I haven't been following that esports tournament but I really like such tournaments because they're quite entertaining. I don't know that if any online betting sites allow betting on such tournaments but if they does then I'll surely try to place some bets in order to see what results I get. Thanks for sharing that information, I hope to check out those matches.

I also don't know of any casino that lets you bet on Fightning Games... It's even a good suggestion for them to implement something, since there are always plenty of tournaments and the prize pool is very generous
I remember seeing Rollbit having an "eFighting" category on their sports betting but I don't know if they have odds for the tournament you mentioned.

edit: I checked their website, and they really do have "eFighting" category but they don't have odds for CAPCOM CUP X, but they do have odds for Injustice 2: Gotham City, Justice League and Super Villains.

It's a Street Fighter 6 World Cup, it's a tournament of qualifying groups and then direct eliminatory confrontations, as happens in the FIFA World Cup.

These games you mentioned are very old and I believe they don't have as much engagement, it could be that they were used as a test and it wasn't successful...

I don't know about such tournament type of fighting games but I have placed bets on some Mortal Kombat  games on one casino a few months ago. Those weren't any tournament type of matches but they were simple matches against players, however, the result of most bets were bad and that's why I decided to give up on that.

On all of the casino that I played. Solo play games is not available for betting since tournaments on this kind of games is not that frequent compared to team fights game that has a lot of tournaments internationally.

Besides, Solo play games has a high risk of match fixing since a single player controls the outcome of the game. This is probably the important factor which the casino considering for not adding this game on their e-sports category. Only MOBA and Team Fight games on PC are the most frequent games you can see on all the online casino.

I’m surprised that there’s a tournament for capcom. I’m only aware with Street Fighter V and Tekken tournaments for fighting style games.
