How's everyone feeling in this downward spiral bear market?  Ready to sell off for pennies to the dollar of what you paid?  I know I'm not... didn't risk more than I could afford to HODL forever until things get better.

Remember, most of the coins you are in have real people, real developers, real ideas, real lives, real emotions... in it just as much as you are and continuing to work at finding a way in the brave new crypto world.

So, how about it?  Ready for another 18-24 months of this nonsense before another brief 4-8 month bull run?  I know I am ready for the long road ahead... WOOOO!!!!

We do not know when the bull will come, and honestly it's not easy to ignored on what happened in the market now because of big losses. But the only thing that we should do is hold and be more patience.
Now is not the time to run from the market, because we are so close to growth, today the market showed a slight increase, perhaps it is the beginning of a turn to the bull.

It is too early and unnecessary. It will be wasting of spent time and money will not be earned so what  is more crypto will not be developed in all its potential.

It is  not easy to sit and watch prices going down continuously but then one can continue to hold the valuable coins like the btc, and best to dispose of the less valuable coins.

I support you, no matter how the market changes, I will stick to my psychological defense, I will not sell any coins, if the market eventually disappears, then I am willing to let these coins sleep in my wallet forever!

All depends on individual opions however is too bad to sell at the moment mostly to those who bought at all time high. But one should avoid becoming a bag holder to any shit project.

We are in the thick of things now.  We should have sold months ago.  We didn't.  Now it's time to hold on tight and wait out the storm.  This is all manipulation as far as I'm concerned to it's a simple waiting game.  The lower they take it also the higher the gains if we can DCA.

I'm hodling and buying more ETH every week cheaper and cheaper, i'm 100% sure this bear dump is manipulated to force weak hands to sell  cheap, we will moon soon!

I tend to agree that ETH will rebound.  However, the fact that many ICO ventures are liquidating is quite disruptive and brings great cause for concern.  I think this compounds the doubt about what ETH's true valuation should be.  But going forward, I think we will look back on this similarly to how we look back on the bitcoin crash in 2014.  Many savvy people back then were concerned but their spirits were not broken.  ETH has a lot of usability and solves a large problem that bitcoin did not.  Given the high level of the problem solved by ETH (smart contracts, ICO funding, etc) I would say ETH has a lot of staying power and that the price will come back.

What is happening with ETH reminds me of the dot-com bubble.  In other words, the dot-com bubble wasn't the end of dot-coms.  Quite the contrary, the best dot-coms were still to come.  The same can be said for ETH and ICOs in the future.  The best is yet to come and there are still very good opportunities.

nah, because of the pump and dump factor i wouldn't call any of this as similar to dot-com bubble. it is pure manipulation of the market by the centralized entities who happen to have big investors behind them helping with the pump and dump to increase their wealth ..... in FIAT ....
in other words they buy the coin, then pump it and make millions then they start shorting the coin and dump it and then make another millions. then eventually they move on to another coin to back that up and do the same there.

I think that's the most important thing when it comes to crypto.  That way if a hundred bucks is all I can afford to loose, and it turns to 30, I don't really care, but if it hits 400, its very enjoyable, and I can buy something.  This happened to me with dogecoins just recently, a second time, a lot of fun and I bought stuff.

Personally, I'm willing to wait as long as I want. I am confident in the prospects of cryptocurrencies and I am not confused by the temporary fall of the market.

Those holding for so long, I mean for more than 4 months have really tried man. If they did throw in the towel now, well, they have tried. This is a situation know one would think would nosedive this way. If you have held on for long more than months, then, you can as well hold on for more. See how the turn of the new year would impact on prices and all. And if you think you can still make few cents off what you bought it then without running at a loss, you can give it a shot. The ball is definitely in your court. Whatever decision any long term holders are taking, they have tried, they own that one.

Of course that the best decision right now it to keep holding until the prices recover. You are not actually losing money untill you sell for a loss. Let's hope that it won’t actually take that long for the prices to recover.

I guess most of those who bought in at the really high levels (close to all time high) are actually being forced to hold until they can finally recapture some of what they lost, whether this be in 5 months or 5 years. Only after the fact can you settle down and accept your situation as there's really nothing you can do about it, unless you've got the balls to advertise crypto for free.

Not now and not in the nearest time. It is very profitable to be in crypto now and I don't think that people will deny this stable way of income or even a job.

To be honest, I feel very bad. I wake up every day and see that my money is getting less and less. Should someone feel refreshed? I didn't expect to make money this year. I am thinking about what I want to do next. The realization of the market this year really made me feel very bad.

Why do you check the prices every day then?

Either be a trader, checking the prices constantly and try to flip for a profit, or be a holder, and then just wait for the next bullrun. I don't have time to day-trade, so I just hold. I couldn't tell you the last time I looked at coinmarketcap, my portfolio app, or anything else that tells me the exact price. Weeks ago at least. I'll find out on this forum when the next bullrun starts, and then I'll start paying attention again. Until then, why get stressed about it?

I am of course talking about coins with a future here - Bitcoin and the 2-3 alts that aren't complete trash. If you are holding something trash like BCH or TRX, ignore this advice and sell those bags.
