Search for cold storage. As far as you're connected to any network you are not safe. Even God can't protect you.
Be safe.

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
Thanks for the advice everybody but everything is all good Grin. The wallet  never uploaded my new transactions( even after a few hours ) and i was looking at old transaction of bitcoin of similar value that i expected in my wallet .I feel like a real bloody donkey now  Cheesy. It was not still i restarted my computer in the morning and open and closed the wallet  my balance appeared correctly .

So your electrum wallet was never compromised, and your coins are still safe?
Be sure to still attempt to encrypt your wallet for extra security but that's good to hear that your coins are safe.

maybe it is because you are using a false wallet electrium!
the real wallet that everyone else is using and is trusted is called electrum!

and if you want to be safe, then look into what "Cold Storage" means. anything that is online (connected to internet) is not safe at all.

everyone almost tought you the same thing that it's not the wallet fault. But I do sorry  for your lost. 1 btc is a big money right now, I understand why you questioned its cause. But you can take this is as a lesson for being more careful about private keys and password. Hope you get a solution for your problem.

As stated above, this isn't the wallets fault. NEVER have your private keys exposed for long periods of time, it'll never end well for you (I suppose it's good all your coins weren't in it). Are you sure you didn't set a password on it, if so, then that's an even bigger issue.

Can you send the TXid of the tansaction and the bitcoin address, there may be a way to track them. Could you also post the version of OS you were using so we can work out whch is most vulnerable (although I'm epecting it'd be one of Windows).

These guys are right- it's unlikely the wallet's fault.  Are you sure you are using the legit electrum software?  Are you sure your computer wasn't compromised somehow at some earlier point, maybe with keyloggers or some virus that searches for bitcoin wallets?  Is your wallet encrypted?  You weren't using a brainwallet, were you?

I'm confused with your explanation
but you may be exposed to a trojan virus or web phishing
it's not your wallet's fault,
or possibly someone running your computer, when you are not around.

I doubt that it's electrum wallet fault.Think of other possibilities such as someone took your private keys or someone used your laptop while you were absent.
Also I'd advisey ou to post some screenshots of your wallet to emphasise your situation some part of your story is unclear to me.
Anyway if you have some hope on people tracking down the "potential' thief, post a thread in the marketplace service section.
Good luck mate and sorry for your loss  Smiley
