Thanks for the info bg002h. The transaction received its 6 confirmation and it did appear in my MtGox account. I transferred it back to my wallet using a different address this time... Smiley

It is an old address that I used to use for mining. My current wallet file is encrypted with a number of other addresses that I use without issue. I also generally try to keep my computer clean behind a firewall.
Oh okay, you are probably fine then

Be careful. You might have a trojan or virus, I wouldn't use any wallets on your computer

I may have, although looking into my MtGox account, it still shows 0 BTC balance. The transaction where I received funds now shows 6 confirms and the address it was sent to still sits at 0 confirmations. Not sure why this would be the case now. I'm starting to get some hope that something may go in my favor, but I'm still uncertain as to why and where the coins have gone. I am guessing if it was MtGox that received it, it wouldn't show until 6 confirmations anyways?

Here is the transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/2d37a475a0f09cc8c4f86e7dde53e73aef25ee3516f2762baabd21ffbda596b1

I guess I'll chalk it up to experience at this point. It seems that there might be someone else that had a handle on one of the private keys in an old wallet address of mine. I had transferred 2.29 BTC from an online fund to a wallet address (137XxRSiYRTB8PyGvEjjz5vZsd7oSNbdbE). After it received a confirmation, I end up seeing another transaction I didn't approve of sending those 2.29 BTC over to 1J8KsZqj8qWWUSqH2bmQHTTEm1xdNLY7AZ.

Not sure how this managed to happen, though I'm not too happy about it at this point. I've marked the wallet never to be used now. Not really looking for a solution unless anyone knows who or how it may have happened, but it sucks to see bitcoins disappear like that especially at the current valuation... Sad

Ever import a private key to MtGox?  I'm not sure what happens if you re-load a previously imported private key...
