cartman doesnt really describe much. he just says "what does matt damon say in that bitcoin commercial" and then repeats a phrase said for thousands of years, not related to bitcoin or crypto at all..

then looking at the actual matt damon commercial. even matt does not say anything that explains crypto he does not say anything crypto or bitcoin related. he just has an aspiring message about humanity and evolution.. where the only hint of crypto is a splashscreen after it.
basically matt could have been advertising anything. heck even the olympics logo could have fitted in after the speech and the advert would work.

i dont see this as being anything that can bring any new incite to people to suddenly want to adopt bitcoin.

I'm not really a fan of South Park, but I do enjoy some of their skits involving various current issues.  The clip I saw from their NFT episode was hilarious and really well done.  Now I'll have to sit down and watch this episode because that Crypto.com commercial was so utterly ridiculous on it's own, I can only imagine how hilarious South Park's adaptation of it will be.  Thanks for posting this.  I probably would have never known otherwise.

With the massive spending that Crypto.com has been doing on advertising, I'm sure they'll have a few things planned for the Super Bowl as well.  Crypto just keeps getting more and more mainstream.  Honestly, I feel like I was as bullish as anyone 10 years ago, but I would've put the odds of us making it this far at below 10% back then.  I'm starting to feel like this Bitcoin stuff might actually make it into real world use someday.  I just hope the activity is on chain.  Smiley

Haha, I saw half of the post pandemic special where Bitcoin was accepted everywhere (but painted in a bad light).

They were brave, so fortune will favour them, right? Though, what's brave about going all crypto when crypto's already big and successful? Or was the bravery about supporting a commercial crypto company trying to chip away at the basics of crypto?

Note: talking from a point far departed from soberness atm heh.

Just intime for the Superbowl, South park in their first episode of the season has mentioned what Matt Damon had said during the commercial for Crypto.com which ran during an NFL game several months ago.

The story and clip can be viewed here:

"The first episode of the animated series’ 25th season saw Cartman mocking the actor, who compared being a crypto investor to an array of milestones in human achievement in the advert before signing off by saying: “Fortune favours the brave.”
Clyde then responds with: “My dad said he listened to Matt Damon and lost all his money.”
Cartman counters: “Yes, everyone did! But, they were brave in doing so!”
