Sorry folks this posting is being moved to a more formal Auction listing https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/casascius-10-btc-silver-round-auction-1009466

This post is now closed, it was meant as more of a 'wild offer' post rather than a formal auction, apologies, if you could restart you bids on this posting, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/casascius-10-btc-silver-round-auction-1009466 that would be great.  Really sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I can vouch for David. I have done many many deals with David over a few years now. Through Ebay, or paypal invoice, or coin trade, or BTC payments, or bank transfer, or face to face. Never an issue.

HardBTC was listed on Mikes Casascius site as a recommended reseller (may have been the first one listed from memory)

I daren't imagine how many Cas coins were resold by David. 100's ... maybe even 1000's.

He's just been working on other things more recently.

Hi Blazedout419 yes, wasn't too sure that this is the right section to post this in, last thing I'd want to do is waste people's time or annoy.

Now having put this up, not entirely sure how to move it ....  It's more of a heads up message, rather than a straight forward auction, so will be concluding shortly anyway. So for the time being, may it remain here ?

Oh it is not up to me or anything...was just a suggestion. I have done the same thing tossing a coin up for offers to help decide the price and all. If you can come up with a price do let me know as I am after some 10BTC rounds.

Cool, well sort of hoping that someone will make an above market offer, as proportion of the proceeds will be going to Chris Ellis' noble ProTip project currently crowd funding on IndieGogo .

These do not sell often so the market rate is hard to determine is the issue. Just start an auction at 10BTC and let the market decide is what I do.

I think you should maybe move this to the goods section since it is not really an auction (you are just taking offers). I am interested in the coin, but need some sort of cut off date or something here..

Yes, cut date is essential otherwise it's not really an auction. You can also state your reserve if you worry you won't get an offer you like.

3) Starting bid & end time.

This is more of appeal for generous offer or it may goes on the Indiegogo pitch itself, rather than a straight auction. Hope that's OK ?

Hi  iglasses
Many thanks for your comments, of course understand where you're coming from so ...

1) You have a 2.5yr old account with a single post, this auction, so anything you can do to increase trust that the auction is legit would be beneficial.

A1) Yep, I'm not a big poster on the forums, but you can also check me out here :

2) Escrow is just about a must here, but you should post that you will be accepting it.

Yep for sure.

3) Starting bid & end time.

This is more of appeal for generous offer or it may goes on the Indiegogo pitch itself, rather than a straight auction. Hope that's OK ?

4) Shipping details.  A coin like this should be insured when shipping which can add a great deal to the cost, especially if you ship to another Country.

Yep insured tracked, shipping, depending on the offer price, may well be included in the price, if not we'll sort a price to suit all concerned.

5) Where will the coin be shipping from?  Sales to other Countries?

Shipped from the UK, to anywhere a standard courier/postal service will deliver.

Good luck with your sale.

Many thanks, apologies for the initial lack of detail, apprecaite your comments.

Regards

10 BTC Casascius Uncirculated Direct from Manufacturer

HardBTC is helping to raise money for the Open Source Bitcoin project ProTip. A peer to peer tipping app for that runs on the blockchain. We are going to offered this rare 10 BTC Casascius coin as part of the fund raiser.

We looking to raise as much as we can in the sale of this coin, and hence would like to appeal to the community for some serious generous offers before this goes on Indiegogo.
