UPDATE FYI: I am sending the coin to Minerjones and have sent him more pictures etc. Minerjones will act as escrow, and handle the shipping, and auction since I'm sure he's a person that potential buyers feel that they can trust. Bidding will start at 1 BTC (I have several offers at/above that price but feel as most comments that price discovery through auction is best for everyone) and auction will run for a week I believe. The bar really is as beautiful as it looks and 10/10 mint including the paper packaging with hand written scribbles by the creator Smiley

Past auctions are not very useful in this case. There just aren't many comparables. I think the bar could auction from between 0.25 and 1.0. I would be surprised if it went for more than that as market is soft right now. Looking forward to an auction unless OP has just decided to keep it. However you never know when a bidding war will break out and it might go for more than 1.0. Would be a great auction!

I agree completely, it’s a wide range for sure but anywhere from 0.25 and 1 is a possibility, with a chance it goes for more (but anyone’s guess how much more than 1 and the likelihood for that). It’s especially interesting considering the rapid BTC rise at the moment.

My opinion is an auction is the absolute best way for true price discovery! Great and cool looking item. Would like to see what an auction unveils. Either way GLWS!

Send this puppy to auction please.  I’ve wanted one for a long time and have had a hard time getting one at a reasonable price.

What do you think the reasonable price for this one? Can you send me in PM please so that I will have price range on bidding for this beauty if auction occur. Thanks much in advance.  Cheesy

Seems like auction is the way to go. I'm gonna do a little research on other bars and set a reasonable starting bid. Expect auction starting this weekend.

Starting bid = 0, 2 week run time.  Le bonne temps roule!

you could start the bid from 0.1 btc, I am pretty sure it will escalate pretty quickly Smiley

Yes the Yellow Book identifies the bearer bar from the upside down hologram as a Series 2 100 BTC 2011, 'Unfunded Bar', Non-2FA, mintage of eight. The '2FA Unfunded Bar' (there were only 4) had a upright hologram laser etched with "2 factor' and 'ZERO BTC". Very nice! GLWS.

Auction please.

This is really the only way to get price discovery imo & if I was selling it's also what I'd do, anything else is pretty much fantasy &/or a waste of time I feel and will only detract from interest in the piece if it drags out, but whatever works for you np.

I have a truly rare collectible that I am considering Auctioning off (or selling if I get an offer I can't refuse). One of VERY few remaining in truly mint condition. I am sure there are people that know far more about this than I do but It's one of only 8 minted of this model (non 2-fa, unloaded).

Mostly checking interest in an auction, unless someone PM's me with a REALLY solid offer. Open to Escrow via a very reputable member.

I have more pictures but for some reason I keep getting 'image proxy' issues. I'll post an album in a bit.
Any imperfections in the image is only in the plastic cover. The bar has NEVER been 'opened' or handled without original plastic. Kept in a bank deposit box in original plastic and paper since purchase.
