When checking a Demo on https://casascius.uberbills.com/ website you will get the following large X  Created:   Never seen

This also comes up with any of the DIY coins that were released. From what I have seen, they are mostly the 5 btc nickel/brass coins.
Here is an example:

Not sure if Elias would be up to updating the Encyclopedia, but I might be game if he ever wanted to pursue it.

The research, while possibly not as accurate as it could be, was our best effort at the time, with what we could find out.  In any case, here's two pages from the Encyclopedia that might be beneficial.

Another great resource on this topic is monkeynuts

Hope all of you are doing well.  I haven't been on the forum for quite some time.

The encyclopedia/that site has SEVERAL errors in it.  Don't get me wrong, it is a great place to start.... but it's certainly not as accurate as it should be.

agreed, it needs some updating. He should look into editing it asap and then to do regular updates as necessary.

Sorry for the late reply OP as I was away doing courier work for a couple other users on this forum and I don't sign in when I'm on my mobile.

I'm happy to help you get this graded at ICG as we have done several DEMO coins already.

Here is an example of the finished product:

Ooo interesting. I didn't realize there were other types of demo's.

Well, Alamjob239/Bla2kja2k/acemax/RainbowSky/whatotherbanevadingaltnext? turned this thread into a shitshow!

Aside from that, interesting leaning about this Cas DEMO coin. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it yimfinity.

same information on both links/site
any information provided by either should always be confirmed, as has been shown that many errors still exist in their initial harvesting of this

yes the information is the same on both - as both were done by the same person, if I am not mistaken.

https://i.imgur.com/iMsYG1G.png

This will also come up for some higher denomination items that were never loaded and not considered "DEMO" items

interesting. is there a way to query that DB to see what the total potential count of DEMO is? that is beyond my technical paygrade :/

After further research I have discovered that you are holding a rare coin. I do agree you probably will get more out of the auction. We all will be waiting for that. Thank you.

teeGUME - I did not comment on all threads until late night only on owlcatz and this post. I like CAS demo coin that is why I commented.

And you all know how Mopar LLC is? He will buy and sell next day after he receives the item back on bitcointalk his only reason always I have this twice. Shame on you Grandpa

Anyway I will not comment on this anymore except bidding. Thanks

Thank you for talking about this. I do not think there is that much demand because demo are not loaded.
I guess people don care.
Anyway pm me how much you are looking for the demo coin. Rainbowsky
It's unfortunate that Rainbowsky is always the first one to comment on every single thread with incorrect information. Please disregard his post.

This coin would be highly valuable and sought after as it is a large part of Casascius history.
Please add pictures to show quality and help increase hype. It more than likely won't sell instantly unless you auction it but having it well documented in the thread will lead to offers further down the line when big money starts looking for these rarities.

I'll try and take some photos over the next week!

What grading service, anacs? Go with ICG instead if so. Wink

Ha. I used ANACS back in the old days (yellow insert slab). I've never seen a graded DEMO so my main concern would be that it was classified correctly whether its ICG or someone else.
Get in touch with anonymousminer.. he's got the contacts with ICG, can probably get that backlog skipped too

Ignore this retard, please. Roll Eyes

Demo coins are rare. He doesn't know what he's talking about or is trying to scam you.

There have been a few threads on the elusive DEMO coin (but not quite as elusive as the VOID coin). Some looking to buy, some looking to potentially sell, but I don't think any transactions were ultimately completed. Anyone have any experience they can speak to?

I have a DEMO coin and depending on what interest/market is for it, would be open to selling it. I was considering sending it in to be graded but the grading backlog has put a pause to that for now.
