I disagree, auctions are a great way to get less for your coin.

Yes top dollar, goods section.  Less money, quicker sale auction.

Dat starting bid  Shocked

It wasn't too long ago where one sold for 2.3  Cry
It is not uncommon for starting bids to be pretty far under the expected selling price, this is what gets people to want to start bidding in the first place. Part of the gamble with auctions is that you might end up selling it for a low price, while still having the opportunity for it to sell for a higher then expected price if enough bidders are interested in it.

The thing is, I'd rather play it safe than sorry. Unless I was in a really good position to be able to lose out on a bit of BTC, then I would go for it. I'd rather there is one or 2 bids, but I know that I'll definitely be getting something I'm comfortable with.
If that is the case then you really might as well list it in goods and then when someone offers something you would be willing to accept, you accept the offer.

Yeah but there is just something about auctions that seem to sell a piece that doesnt seem to sell on goods.  Competetive nature in people I guess.
