The encyclopedia should have the most accurate info. The bible of cryptocoins Wink

I would love a definitive quote from Mike on which is accurate. If he was involved with the production of the encyclopedia I'm sure that's the more accurate one however.

No that's wrong only between 500 and 550 we're made.  I'll have to look it up again and I believe only 84 have been spent.  I'm going to do a post later with all the information and pics and what I'm asking so I don't have to keep posting over an over.  I'm new to the forum so it only lets me post a reply every 360sec and 5 pins an hour.  So please if you're interested wait till I post a reply with all the information and pics to prove it's real and I'm not scamming.

Is this info from spotcoins.com Huh

yeah..... not the most reliable information

How are these numbers not accurate? Hasn't mike confirmed they are in the past, or no?

The second batch of holograms did not contain a the earlier spelling error, and also introduced a "window" through which the coin's bitcoin address could be viewed. This replaced the Series-1 inkjet-printed addresses.

The 2011-dated Series-2 hologram 1 BTC coins are a fairly rare issue, with only 516 estimated to exist (from Casascius publicly-released data).

This appears to be the first series 2 coin, which is one of the rarest Casascius coins...  I witnessed one sell for over $3K a few weeks ago...

Here's the coin from the picture's uberbills link:
https://casascius.uberbills.com/?address=1CAAajqNr7m3b7tH5hGPGV759y2A8yYi7F

So this is a series 2 coin with a 2011 front as apposed to 2012... Do you have an idea how many of these where made?

One coin to rule them all
To the OP, can you update the thread title to spell Casascius correctly?

Your thread is confusing because "Casasius" actually implies this may be the 2011 Series 1 error coin, however you've indicated that it is not the error coin because it is a Series 2.

Please read about it before posting question with the sole purpose to increase your post count.

It is on page 85 in Elias books. In another spam post do you refer to this book, so either are you too lazy to read the book and find the information your self, or you already know and just want to increase your post count to earn 1 cent. Looking at your history, time after time are you asking question you obviously either know the answer to or have no real interest in.

No, this is the first time of seen this coin Casascius. Is it designed in Greece, the name sound Greek to me

Oh man, you gotta look these up. They were made in the USA.

Forum member Elianite has put together the best collection of information on Casascius coins, you can find it here: https://coinfirm.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Casascius-eBook-Plus-2.pdf

You can also find them being auctioned in the Marketplace Collectibles board.

I would still prefer an error over the series 2. I know series 2 has low mintage, but error is the first Casascius and a lot of collectors would want it more.

Can you send us the link where it sold for 3k casascius coins have been down for a long time now. Surprised that it sold for that much.

It was an escrow I handled.  No idea if there was a thread here or not.  This definitely isn't one of the coins you could get for 1.3 BTC at any point.

I'm in Indiana and willing to drive  if anyone wants to pay cash to avoid me getting ripped off.  Just talked to my buddy and he had sold one using pay pal and once it was mailed the other guy canceled the transaction and screwed him.

Here is the back side of the coin

No I don't want BTC or else I'd just keep it.  Cash vie PayPal

Hi, where are you located? and can you post a pic with the public key on the reverse which is currently redacted, to verify the loaded amount please...showing that pic does not allow anyone to withdraw those funds, the only way to do so would be by peeling the hologram and importing the address into a wallet.

thanks!

If you are looking for PayPal, then you probably are going to want to trade with someone reputable enough so that you are willing to send first to them, because it is nearly impossible to use escrow with a PayPal transaction, and it would not be a good idea to send first to you, even with PayPal.

You can price your coin how you wish, however as a reference, camolist was selling 1 BTC brass coins for 1.3BTC in his longstanding thread. I am unsure if this is the same series coin or not though.

probably best for a US buyer to speak to you then. as that process would take too long dealing with me.

What would be a trusted escrow?  I'm new to this forum thing so please excuse my ignorance.

id offer you 1.15 BTC for it - we would have to use a 3rd party to escrow, Minerjones or Blazed are my preference.

I send funds to them, you ship coin to me. once coin is received and confirmed genuine then the escrowed  BTC is sent to you.

I might be way off on the price but you haven't made an offer so why be sorry.  I posted one of front and back. And it hasn't been handled much been in a drawer since I got it.  My friend and I got them about 5 years ago after they were made and we were learning about Bitcoin

I'd like to get $1,800 for the loaded coin.  From what I've read they go from 1.5-3 times spot.  Now this price is  negotiable.

sorry buddy way out on price - and you are handling the coin - can you show a pic of the reverse.... oils on your hands can degrade the holo - pic of the back.

also please confirm you are cool using a trusted forum escrow.

also - how did you acquire the coin?

I'm new to this forum and nvr sold anything with btc.  I got this a few years back when my friend bought a bunch and I'd like to sell mine.

I have a Brass Casasius Coin loaded with 1 btc.  If anyone is interested in buying it please contact me asap

My cell number is 269-519-2369
Anyone trading with this guy will probably want to use escrow as

It also would be a good idea to post some pictures of the coin so potential buyers can see the condition of the coin.
