Interesting article, I was unfamiliar in depth with Casper FFG. I will also check out what was posted regarding some changes. If Casper goes through, I think interesting opportunities for pooling could arise since it is expensive to run a node... Was it 1500 ETH?

Cheers!

The version of Ethereum Casper you're referring to, Friendly Finality Gadget (FFG), was recently depreciated in favor of a mixed Sharding and PoS concept.

You can learn more about Casper chain v2 here: https://notes.ethereum.org/SCIg8AH5SA-O4C1G1LYZHQ?view#

I'll agree it is adventurous, but the Ethereum developers seem to have a lot of talent for making these things work.

Hey guys, do you think Casper FFG is the next big think for the blockchain ecosystem?
No I don't think. I don't even think they (the devs) know the full consequences of what they are doing.

Didnt know much about this before I read this article but still I am not sure what to think, so many other good projects..
Frankly, I too am not sure what to think. The blockchain is not a playground. Where billions are at stake, you don't want to make even a single mistake, and you have to protect yourself against all possible scenarios. We'll see soon enough.
