The minimum requirement to become a validator is just 8 GB RAM laptop/desktop, the fact that anyone can become a validator (within no time, just install the node software and you are ready) makes this project more bullish, anyone can get the rewards and secure the network. Also, the reward tokens are the most fairly distributed there is.
