There are no particles. The "particles" are different frequencies of zero point energy (aether).

Sorry I'm not studied in this arena, and am looking for answers.

What does that mean in terms of Quantum computing and unlocking the encryption of Bitcoin?

CERN finding pentaquark yesterday - Quantum Computing coming?
Yep. In like 30-90 years. Pop science news is almost always garbage.

So you give Bitcoin at most 90 years? What happens then? We find a stronger encryption for Bitcoin and fork at some point beforehand?

I always thought Bitcoin would be safe on a paper wallet. Figured some people might place it in the safe in a bank, and deposit onto it for their grandchildren, etc. But you believe that in at most 90 years, that encryption /private key could be cracked?

I understand that it's a long time to prepare (such as switching them out of the vulnerable addresses) if we take your estimates, but I always thought Bitcoin was being advertised as not able to be figured out, and you give it less than 100 years to do so.

Your Encryption Will Be Useless Against Hackers with Quantum Computers

"Computing could soon fundamentally change, and when it does, cryptography will evolve too. Quantum computing “will instantly change the world of encryption,” Konstantinos Karagiannis, BT Security's Global Technical Lead of Ethical Hacking, told me. He's set to give a talk on the future of encryption—and breaking it—at the Black Hat Europe security conference next month..."

FUD

I can make an monte carlo optical processor (if I had the resources) that could pwnt any cheezy qbit CPU and it still can't beat SHA256.

Thanks for the post. I don't want to FUD. I am very interested in seeing the people here, who know about these things, discuss them, which is why I posted the separate thread here.

Does everyone else agree that the quantum computers will not be able to break the encryption?

I know I've discussed this in my prediction thread, that I'm sure many of you ignore. Stepping back from conspiracy theories, let's look at some facts.

1) CERN is looking at quarks. They just found a Pentaquark for the first time yesterday.

2) Futuristic Computer Program Arrives Ahead of Computer

3) Your Encryption Will Be Useless Against Hackers with Quantum Computers

What do you think this means for cryptocurrencies?

This video is set up to the point she starts talking about Quantum Computing. If it doesn't show the right time, it is 1 hr. 43 m 41 seconds in. They mention bitcoin and blockchains also.
