There are buyers on one side and if the top buyer is willing to pay $4K for buying Bitcoin then you will see $4K as buy rate and on the other hand, if the top seller is willing to sell his Bitcoin for $4,200 then you will see the sell rate of $4,200 so at any point, there will rarely be the same price for buying and selling.
If you want to buy Bitcoin in such case then you must pay $4,200 and if you want to sell your Bitcoin then you must sell it for $4K otherwise create a new order with your expected price and wait for the buyer or seller.

I'm a newbie when it comes to bitcoin.
I am using cex.io for buying bitcoins. My question is why is so big difference between selling and buying when it comes to price?. For example the price of btc says it's 4371$, but to sell is 4054$ and to buy is 4684$ . So i will be in loss if i sell my bitcoin
. Is there a better way to do this not to loose so much money?
