If you realy want to mine scrypt based coins or LTC with your GPU you need the old version of cgminer  " cgminer 3.7.2 " !
This is the latest version it is possible to mine scrypt with GPU .

Start.bat if you need it !
Code:
set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

cgminer.exe  --kernel scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://yourpoolname:port  -u your-workername -p x -T  --intensity (depends on your card) --shaders 512 --thread-concurrency 8192  --lookup-gap 2  --worksize 128 --gpu-engine (depends on your card) --gpu-memclock (depends on your card) --auto-fan

pause

But as other already posted its a waste of time and energie , there are better algos for mining with GPU !

Well still somehow profitable if you are paying 0 for your electricity but if you do not have free electricity then it's waste of time mining it. Just look for other profitable to mine.

You are correct it is not profitable If you power cost is high. But i have 0 power bill and all the time in the world.

If you had free electricity to mine some crypto coin, you should switch the coin and your mining software to mine raven, beam, grin or another profitable coin for a better profit.

There are more coins which you can mine with your GTX1080, you can find it here https://whattomine.com

The benefits and costs are sometimes proportional, and you pay a cost of zero. The benefits that are often obtained will also be 0. And it takes time. It is better to buy directly. This may end up making more profit.

Even with 0 energy costs, your earnings are nearly 0.

Mine any other profitable coin, sell them and buy your LTC = 1000 times more profit.

Mining LTC with GPU not profitable now. This is an entirely ASIC algorithm.
It is better, as noted above, to choose another coin and a different algo.

The pool calculates the speed by hashes. So this is normal. You have autodiff in the pool? Or do you run with a fixed difficulty? LTC has long been mined Asic. You can mine other more profitable GPU coins.

CGMiner is a Bitcoin ONLY mining software.  So you must have someones forked version. So you would need to contact the developer of the forked version.  Also you are posting in the Bitcoin ONLY section of the forum so you need to post in the altcoin section to get LiteCoin support.

Good Luck

Hello I'm running CGminer on my rig i only have one video card. a GTX1080 Founder Edition. It is mining and everything is looking good. But on miner  it shows 175Kh/s but on the site it shows over 700Kh/s however that is not the only strange thing. It dose not stay close to that hash rate. It keeps going down in hashing power. Into it hits Zero. then it comes back up to that 700 and something hashing rate and keeps going down into again it hits Zero.  Then keeps repeating. Has anyone had this problem and if so what should i do? I'm all default settings that comes with the CGminer. Also my Video card is on all default settings. I don't mod or boost my cards because i want them around for a long time.
